Lodge at Tap Haus

Over priced for just room only room decoration tired heated towel rail in bath didn’t work

Ideal for one or 2 night stay room only & a pub thare as well do explant food

The window was siliconed shut for some reason and yes there was air conditioning but I wanted fresh air. Why? Don’t know but maybe because it’s a pub downstairs. Not sure but would of liked to open it

The towels smelt of fried food. Returned at 9.50pm for a drink in the bar and the guy there said ‘oh sorry we close at 10.30’ This was a Friday night and it doesn’t state it’s closed this early otherwise we would of stayed out but then that defeats the purpose of our stay. Anyway staff were nice enough but just a few niggles.

The staff were pleasant and the room was clean and tidy

The window frame leaked when there was a downpour - needs fixing! The pillow was too soft: 2 each would have been better. We could hear the road traffic outside when trying to sleep.

The bed was clean and comfortable.

Being told the bar was closing at 10pm by a rather obnoxious member of staff. The access stairway to the lodge was extremely grubby. The lodge is desperately in need of refurbishment

The Accomodation was lovely. The Restaurant food was delicious, we ate there twice during our 2 day stay, and residents recieved a discount on food. The Staff were polite and freindly. We will stay again when next in the area.

Food in restaurant was good but horrible decor. Kettle with plenty tea coffee and apples if you wanted

Heating wasn't on and was blowing cold for at least half an hour. Room didn't warm up for a couple of hours. Grouting in shower was horrible and needs scrubbing with mould remover. Stair carpet up to rooms very dingy.NO BREAKFAST AVAILABLE
