Angel and Tony were fantastic hosts! They are very knowledgeable about Chinese Arts and culture, and were happy to show us around local museums. The yards are beautiful, perfect for relaxing, and the restaurants around have delicious food. Pet friendly!

Visited Beijing with my partner but the crowds were a little overwhelming. We took a chance and decided to book a room a few miles from the Great Wall. It turned out to be a perfect location. The room was clean, warm, and well supplied. The bed was firm. The owners, picked us up in the city and arranged a train station transfer the following evening. The flower yard is the perfect place to stay for a trip to the countryside just outside of Beijing city. Angel and Tony were super accomodating and their place felt very homely. The beds were extremely comfy and the shower/bathroom was nice and modern. They run a ceramics studio out of the stay so theres lots of cool art around and you can even try your hand at some pottery. The area surrounding their place was beautiful with a river just down the road and a relaxing walkway that goes along the water. There also a nice restaurant nearby and a basketball court a short bike ride away. They made it super easy to go to The Great Wall. Angel sorted out all my tickets, shuttle bus and cable car ride. She even took the time to take me to the base of the wall and waited to take me back home after the adventure. I highly recommend staying here if you are looking to stay outside of the busy city centre and want to see The Great Wall of China. The provided breakfast was really nice and accomodating of dietary requirements. Tony and Angel spoke great English too and helped me sort out any language barrier stuff that came up on the trip. It's also only a fairly cheap and short car ride from PEK Beijing Capital Airport.

Tony and Angel were the perfect host. Very friendly and knowledgable about the local area and the Great Wall of China at Mutainyu. I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family. I really enjoyed my stay!

Everything was wonderful! Angel and Tony are the perfect hosts and make you feel like family. They have created a creative art space and the location and opportunity to see the Great Wall though a locals eye is priceless.

It was a perfect getaway.

For those travelers that enjoy a boutique style, country inn my wife and I gladly recommend the Flower yard. The rooms are spotless and open on to a main central courtyard. Above the courtyard is a rooftop with table and chairs for relaxation, while enjoying the view of the surrounding village. As this was our first visit to the area it was especially comforting to know the property was locked and secure at night. My wife felt more at ease knowing our two children could be outside the room but unable to wander off. There is also a western style on site coffee shop which was most welcome as I’m not much of a tea drinker. We were only there for a short nights stay but would gladly visit again.
