5 min from Gora station. My quadruple room corner suite has beautiful view. Open bath is private and relaxing. Medicinal tea is fantastic.

Shuttle service has to book the night before is not very accommodating. Its a short run to station should make it available periodically through the day. Dinner was fine but not impressive

"Traditional dinner, yukata and excellent staff."

Conveniently located in Gora, easily reachable even with a backpack (about a 300-meter uphill walk from the station). Traditional yukata are available for guests for dinner (not mandatory). The included traditional dinner was excellent. The staff were outstanding, both in terms of kindness and helpfulness. I highly recommend it.

The facility was very clean, rooms are spacious, the onsen and sauna were also clean.

The food (dinner and breakfast) was really underwhelming. We opted for half-board. The dinner was fairly simple for something endorsed as "kaiseki" on their website. The meat dish was so oily and bland. Half of the dishes are just being reheated using the blue fondue gel typically used by ryokans and they end up overcooked. It's not that it tasted bad, it was just really underwhelming. The breakfast was a buffet and it was really simple for a ryokan and not a lot of options. Almost like a business hotel breakfast.

"Quiet luxury with loads of amenities."

This was our favorite stay on our trip. We had a quadruple bunk bed room that was clean, modern, and large with a private tub on the patio. The tea room was an absolute treat, breakfast was amazing with loads of vegetarian options, and our onsen experience was wonderful. All bath rules and instructions are in Japanese, so look them up beforehand or use a translator if it’s your first time and you are not fluent.. Gora is a fabulous location with lots to walk to but the seclusion we desired between big city stays.

なんと言っても薬膳がとても良かった

ただ薬膳の場所が少し狭いため、食後すぐに行ったりと空いてそうな時間を狙っていくといいと思います！
