D'Lecia Ha Long Hotel

Breakfast and staff were fantastic. The pool area was lovely, with an infinity edge and poolside dining from the restaurant. Our room had great views, though the area was still recovering from flood damage, with fewer activities but signs of rebuilding.

The hotel has a quirky vibe but lacks security measures, as there’s no restricted access to floors, and motion-activated lighting can leave areas dark until triggered. This could feel a little unsafe since anyone can take the lift up without a key, even though they need to pass through the lobby (but sometimes there were no staff there). Additionally, the sauna was an extra charge despite not being listed as such, and its poor construction made it ineffective. This was disappointing, especially since we had specifically looked forward to using it. Given that it's probably not what sauna-users expect temperature wise, I would remove this from the listing, as it doesn't work properly and would be difficult to fix the construction issues (gaps in the walls).

The room was huge and the staff were friendly and helpful. They also served breakfast to our room on our last day.

The surrounding don’t really have food. There is also no night life. Room doesn’t have Netflix, so we couldn’t watch anything as well. The shampoo smells funny too.

The staff are great, the cleaners and the cooks in particular. There is a Circle K down the road ( so you have a 24 hour mini shop). A good place for remote work.

The bathroom externally had a damp unpleasant smell. The soap also had the strangest smell, which was intolerable. The location is not the best if you want to explore the city centre. A bit boring and serious atmosphere. You have to pay to use the sauna.

Need grab to get to the place where the boats go from but this is affordable so not the end of the world. Restaurant at hotel was closed in the evening unfortunately

The hotel was clean and pool a good addition. Hotel is in a good location to get to harbour for the Halong cruises

The breakfast could cater more to vegetarians and vegans. Limited options. Also, the beds were quite hard.

The room was nice with large windows.

Only one pillow per person and no cot proposed to us for our 1 year old baby
