Crown Resorts at Silverwoods

This is an outdated condo with badly stained carpet. It is also a good 15 minutes off the interstate (the office where you pick up the key is less than a mile off the interstate, so it is deceptive). I slept in a twin bed as I felt the double mattress was old and saggy. That said, it was in a beautiful setting and it was wonderfully quiet. For the space, the price was excellent.

It was a beautiful location and the townhouse was clean

First off we tried to check in early and was denied to check in 2 hours early. Arrived at location and no one was there to check us in, if a gentleman who had already checked in wouldn’t of told us we had to use a code (which we were not told about) we wouldn’t of known. Once in box my name was no where to be found, here to find out you have to pay a security deposit of $150 then your check-in papers and key are under an alias name. We were not told about the security deposit prior to checking in anywhere… once we finally got our keys and papers the girl at the front gate was very rude twice to us. We also were not told a check out time until arriving at the location and finding a note on the refrigerator. I had two kids with me who wanted nothing more than to swim and they wouldn’t allow us to check in till four and the pool closed at five and then they expect you to check out at 10 AM and the pool opens at 10 AM. The townhouse itself was clean and nice, but none of the TVs worked. The Wi-Fi didn’t work, the password that we were given did not work. The location is beautiful, but overall not a good experience for us!

We got to the property after hours and could not find my name. We called and was told that we owed a security deposit. We were never told this. The confirmation email just gave me the passcode and said we would find our name. When we got to the gate, they gave us a hard time because we did not have a pass and said we should have received a pass in our packet. Again, the confirmation email just stated to go to the security and they would let us in. Once we got to the property it was ok. A little musty smelling. None of the TV's had remotes that worked in the living room. There were 2 TVs there which was confusing. The TV in the full size bed room didn't have anycable to it. There were cobwebs everywhere. The fan in the upstairs bathroom did not work. Overall our stay was ok. There needs to be more communication and clarity in the instructions for after hour check ins.

Nice condo, quiet, warm. The maintenance and custodial staffs are always cordial and prompt in dealing with our concerns. Kudos to both staffs.

The new check-in procedure is a bit unorthodox. The TV in the living room didn't work and an unwelcomed mouse in the kitchen who loved bananas!

Most reviews touch upon the property being dated, so that was no surprise. Everything was pretty minimal. My greatest concern was that there were no working smoke detectors in the house. Both batteries were removed, and there was no present carbon monoxide detector. Not that I'm an expert on Pennsylvania codes, but that seems extremely illegal, if not, definitely dangerous. Also, the drive from the main road to inside the property and to the actual rental was extremely long. If you are spending most of your time on grounds, that's no problem but to leave it takes an extra 15 minutes
