Best Western Plus Pearl Addis

I had stayed in the hotel as part of my business visit to Addis Ababa in Decemeber 2025. The hotel is good and comfortable, and we had booked at USD 70 per night for single occupancy using Expedia. There are many Best Western nearby so ensure you book the correct one. The hotel is very near to airport and its 8-10 minutes drive and hotel provided a complimentary pick up. You need to inform the hotel in advance both for pick up and drop and they arrange a shuttle. The breakfast is fine though they don't have an expansive spread. They have a restaurant which faces the main street and you can enjoy your food there. They accept USD as currency for paryments. Ensure that before leavng Ethiopia you convert Ethiopian Birr to USD from a local Bank in the city as at airport no one will give you USD in exchange of Ethiopian Birr. They only convert USD to Ethiopian Birr and not the other way round.

The traffic in Addis is at a frequent standstill, so the key is finding a hotel in the city that also wont give you a panic-attack trying to get to the airport on time. The Best Western Plus Pearl is a great choice. I stayed here twice, and really appreciated the location, value and helpful staff. On my first visit, I was given a very nice and modern room overlooking the city. Everything worked and the room had lots of amenities for the price. On return, I was given a much smaller room on the back side of the hotel with two tiny side windows and a big brick wall where the real window should have been. A bit claustrophobic. I returned to the front desk and they thoughtfully found another city-side room for me. The difference between these rooms are huge, so if you book a bargain room and the hotel is full, be prepared for the brick wall. The roundtrip hotel airport shuttle is fantastic and leaves frrequently. The shuttles at the airport have huge Best Western logos, so are easy to find. Send a What's app with your flight info and they will be waiting. The included breakfast buffet is great in the all-day restaurant, but I'd suggest walking two blocks to Yod Abyssinia for Ethiopian food and traditional music after 8pm.
