Die Lage ist super, in der Nähe der öffentliche, kostenlose Badeplatz mit Pool und Zugang zum Meer. Sehr schöne, große Terrasse, Ausrichtung der Fereienhäuser ist so, dass auf der Terrasse weitestgehend die Privatsphäre gewahrt bleibt. Weitestgehend ruhige Lage, da kein Durchgangsverkehr, lediglich lokaler Zufahrtsverkehr. Problemlos vom Fähranleger zu Fuß zu erreichen (auch mir Gepäck). Zwei große Supermärkte in Laufweite.

An einem Tag kein Zimmerservice, da es sehr stark geregnet hatte. Das war insofern ungünstig, da wir dringend frische Handtücher gebraucht hätten. Ein kurzer Hinweis während des Tages ( Notiz am Zimmer, WhatsApp, booking.com) und ggfs. ein Frage 'Is there anything you need ?' wäre da echt gut gewesen. Bis wir zurück waren war dann leider die Rezeption nicht mehr besetzt, keine Personal weit und breit ... Das Geschirrset war etwas uneinheitlich, 8 Tassen, aber nur 3 Weingläser, 6 große Teller, aber nur drei kleine ... Auch die Anzahl an Töpfen und Pfannen ist spärlich, aber in Summe ausreichend, aber vlt. sollte man von Zeit zu Zeit wieder ergänzen.

L'appartamento è grande, spazioso, con una ampia vetrata panoramica sul mare, una cucina bene attrezzata e dotata anche di microonde. A pochi passi a piedi piscine naturali ed una artificiale attaccata al mare, ad accesso libero. 10 minuti a piedi dal terminal dei traghetti.

The room was spacious and private with a private patio. Beds were very comfortable and the AC was great.

There was a sewage smell around the bathroom but what bothered us the most is our interaction with the lady who was working the front desk on the last day. On the day of check out, at around 8:30-9 am she called our room to ask when we will check out because she needs to arrange the cleaning schedule and she has other people checking in that day. There were 4 of us in 2 units so I told her I am not sure but it will be before 11 am, which is the check out time. At 10:30 am 3 of us came to the front desk to store some bags for a couple of hours and we told her that we are out of one unit and that my father will vacate the second unit by 11am since he is resting. The lady then said: "really? he needs to rest for 30 more minutes?" the we had to explain that he has a headache but I also reminded her that check out time is 11am and we are very much within that time. I also told her that I've never been to a place that rushed me to check out like that and that it doesn't feel good. Instead of taking responsibility she just argued and said that they couldn't accommodate our request for a later check out time (the day before we asked for an extra hour, which they said no to, but 11 am is the original check out time and we were still obeying by that). Anyways, that really left a bad taste in our mouths and I hope they improve their customer care.

I can't say enough good things about this place. First of all, they are houses! The bedroom, living area and kitchen eating area are very large. The patios for each casita have an eating table and reclining chairs, all overlooking the sea! It was quiet and comfortable and a good value for the money.

Some of their information hasn't been updated: You can't order breakfast nor laundry, even though the information states the opposite. Jacuzzi wasn't working, and they didn't offer anything for that.

The apartments are massive, with huge terraces to sit in the sun or shade. We loved the sunloungers for sunbathing in comfort and having our food out on the terrace too. The apartments are very well appointed for cooking all your meals and the furnishings are comfy in the bedroom and living room. Great location for Madalena or waking to nearby good restaurants and bars. I wish we’d stayed longer!

Very spacious apartments in an excellent location. A short walking distance from the center of Madalena and right across from the natural pools. Highly recommended!

Great position - even though sleeping in Pico, next time i would sleep in Lajes instead of Madalena Comfortable beds Super equipped kitchen (missing a toaster and some basics like oil and sugar)
