Front desk staff average. Room okay. Area noisy and dirty. No pool.

I had a problem the first night. My bed was too soft and I had back pain. I told the Manager and he moved me to a much better bedroom and bed. The hotel is off the main street of Lake Chapala. It was also right near the walkway next to the lake. There were a number of restaurants nearby. I say this because when in the Hotel it was totally quiet. And I'm someone who needs a quiet room to be able to sleep. I had no problems. The breakfast was included and there were a few choices. I always had the same thing and it was always very well cooked and there was a willingness to make a few changes. As an aside - the staff was very friendly and helpful. I'd be happy to stay there again if I returned.

Easy check in, very friendly service. Beautiful courtyard and good location. Breakfast was a nice bonus. Will definitely be back!

A truly lovely boutique hotel with a very comfortable room, lovely garden, and a very friendly, warm, accommodating staff. A gem!

We really enjoyed the traditional Mexican style of this hotel. The garden room was lovely with a terrace opening out to a beautiful green space. It felt very luxurious breakfast was included with our room. The plaza is right across the street. The town is very walkable. We would definitely come back.

Hotel Plaza Chapala is closely located to the Malecon and lots of restaurants. The staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms were very clean, the beautiful garden with mature trees is located away from the road noise.

For $130USD/night ($2340 MXN) we got a very small room WITHOUT a WINDOW, only 4 feet away from the reception! Until midnight we had to listen to 2 employees talking right behind our room door! Next day we paid additional $300 MXN to get a room with a window away from the reception. The only highlight of the breakfast was orange juice. The rest of the food was really bad, the cheapest wet bread even after the toaster, pancakes from a mix, bad coffee and margarine instead of butter! For what they charge per night I was expecting to have good coffee from a machine (not from a thermos) and a piece of quality bread with butter.
