John is a sncere and loving host. The rooms are cozy and the service is outstanding. He is a master chef. I hope to visit again soon.

We can't say enough about how wonderful this property is. Beafutiful, early 20th century furnishings, a vast array of eclectic accent pieces throughout the house making for a truly unique decor. Most importantly, the Inkeeper John is the ultimate host. His breakfasts are to die for. This will definitely be our go-to destination when we are in the area.

John, our host was exceptional. He was very welcoming, and made us feel like we were old friends. His home is full of wonderful antiques, each with their own story. Breakfast was delicious! We had a memorable stay.

This is an older home with beautiful wood floors and fixtures. My room and bathroom were very clean. There are so many unique things to look at through out the house. I felt welcomed and comfortable, and hope to stay there again in the future.

Loved this spot. A real gem. John is a fantastic host and the house is beautiful and full of weird and wonderful items. Really enjoyed chatting to the other guests each morning over a wonderful home-made breakfast. Highly recommend.

My husband and I had such a wonderful 4 night stay at Gardner Farm Inn. John was a gracious, warm and attentive host, the room was very comfortable and breakfast out on the flower ringed patio was delicious. We also enjoyed the local restaurants and historical sites near the inn.

My recent four-night stay at Gardner Farm Inn was wonderful and magical. The proprietor, John, is an outstanding host and a very special, authentic individual. Besides being thoughtful, kind, generous, helpful, interesting and insightful, he is a master chef. His breakfast delights are incredibly tasty as well as beautifully presented. I spent two hours at breakfast each morning talking with others at the Inn; we generally shared our lives and trip plans. John's presence, as well as that of his two dogs, who are supremely serene, and his breakfast setup, make for a real communal experience. His home is meticulously and thoughtfully decorated with vintage objects which makes for a very fascinating, cozy and sentimental environment. In addition, his theme-based rooms very successfully honor historic figures of artistic fame, specifically Oscar Wilde, Jean Harlow, Mae West, Josephine Baker, and director John Waters. John's Inn is also a short walk from Rensselaer Polytechnical Institute's magnificent campus and only a few minutes drive from lovely downtown Troy. I highly recommend a stroll on River Street where on the same block you can visit a quality bookstore, a terrific coffee shop, and an award-winning ice cream parlor with a Vanilla Bean perfection that won a trophy for the world's best vanilla ice cream. The owner uses fresh ingredients and offers not only standard flavors but introduces exciting new delights all the time. All in all, a great inn and neat town.

Our stay here was wonderful! John was welcoming, warm, and helpful! He made us feel right at home. The house is charming and full of interesting art and antiques. The bedding and linens were exceptional quality. Breakfast was delicious and bountiful. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

A quiet and comfortable B&B located minutes from downtown Troy. The owner whipped up a fantastic breakfast, served on the patio. A nice alternative to the usual business accommodations.
