"Good option and well located"

Really good choice for a few nights in Nashville. A little chaotic at arrival - there seems to be a lot of conventions/conferences going on at the hotel - but very nice room and a great bed. But some things let this place down a little - the lifts take forever - and breakfast was a little hit and miss on both days (servers spending most of the time talking to each other). I also think the reception area is rather uninspiring and badly designed - really does nothing for the hotel. Also the view of the back of the hotel was a little uninspiring. That said -it’s in a perfect location and all the staff, other than breakfast, were great - in particular the concierge lady - who was excellent!

"Perfect for a weekend in Nashville"

We stayed at The Joseph for a weekend seeing sporting events and touring Nashville. The hotel was exactly what we needed. The rooms are stylish and comfortable, and the service was consistently strong throughout our stay. The location is excellent. Aside from the Uber to and from the airport, we walked everywhere: Nissan Stadium, the museums, Broadway, The Gulch, and even out to Vanderbilt and Geodis Park. One practical tip: breakfast can have a noticeable wait after 9 a.m. on weekends. On our second morning we booked via OpenTable the night before, and that worked smoothly. Overall, a great choice for a weekend in Nashville – we’d gladly stay again.

"Hotel with great location, spacious rooms but comes with a small front desk issue."

We stayed at the Joseph for several days for a birthday trip with our friends. We stay at Marriot properties all the time. We have a huge shout out to the valet staff, Drew, Davionta and Corey were beyond fabulous. They were all friendly, helpful and a great first impression. The bummer comes to the front desk. While we didn’t have to wait to check in as I witnessed through out our stay long lines. We did have other issues when using the iPad in the room when you have to request your car or other things. Apparently it is all routes thru the front desk and when they are busy they don’t inform valet or room service of your requests. Then when you call the front desk if they are busy they just let the phone ring and ring. During peak times I would expect more than 2 front desk people on duty. Other than that the hotel itself is in a great location, walkable to Music Row, Country Music Hall of fame and many other things. The rooms were spacious. I will note that if you are a light sleeper which we are not ask for a room away from the street at you can hear the street house. Overall our stay was great minus a few front desk issues. Also I wish marriot properties would stop with their whole cashless service.

"Wonderful service from Jordan!"

Service these days isn’t a given…especially exceptional service. What a special night for someone, Jordan, to see a need and make a special effort to make our night less stressful and meaningful! He went out of his way to make sure we were taken care without making us feel like it was a burden… we had then what was a fun night, and memorable one with the added charm that it made it feel like we were just regular folks! "Luxury Hotel with Chronic HVAC and Service Failures, Four Room Changes and Two Nights of Lost Sleep"

Our recent four-day stay at The Joseph was a profoundly disappointing experience that fell well below the standards expected of a luxury collection property. The numerous systemic issues and resulting lack of rest completely ruined our intended relaxing trip. A Complete Failure to Provide Comfort: We were changed rooms four times over the course of our stay due to chronic failures by the hotel to provide a quiet or comfortable environment. Initial Noise, Room 1: Despite requesting a quiet room in advance, we were initially assigned a noisy, street-facing room, we could not stay in that room, it was not restful for us. Room #2 assigned a courtyard room which was quieter than street facing but was situated next to the elevators, creating constant, noticeable elevator-related noise throughout the day and night. HVAC Malfunction and Lack of Transparency: The most severe disruption occurred on our second night. The in-room thermostat/HVAC malfunctioned, causing the room to severely overheat all night. This resulted in an entire night of lost sleep, forcing us to wake up hourly to try and cool the room. We reported the issue early the following day, but two separate maintenance visits (morning and night) failed to fix the problem. At 10:30 PM that evening, as we requested a room change, staff finally informed us that a section of the 19th floor was experiencing HVAC problems: The staff’s failure to inform us of this wing-wide issue earlier in the day was unacceptable. We wasted valuable time and endured hours of discomfort due to this severe lack of transparency. The Final Night Fiasco (Two Moves After 10:30 PM):The resolution attempt resulted in two more immediate room changes: Room #3 (10:30 PM): We were moved to a street-facing room, which was noisy (traffic, sirens), despite specifically confirming a quiet, courtyard view. Room #4: I immediately returned to the front desk to request a quiet courtyard room: We were finally moved late at night to another courtyard room near the elevators. Being moved four times in total, including two moves after 10:30 PM on the last night, was an outrageous inconvenience. This ordeal resulted in two consecutive nights of poor-quality or interrupted sleep. A hotel of this caliber should not have any friction points, chronic mechanical issues (which other reviews suggest is a recurring problem), nor should management allow guests to endure multiple nights of discomfort and four separate room changes. The promised compensation has also been handled poorly. We were initially offered 20,000 Marriott Bonvoy points. The front desk agent said they would increase this to 50,000 points, but this increased compensation has not been issued. This lack of follow-through demonstrates poor management. Other trip advisor reviews echo the staff being dishonest about promised points that never arrived. Furthermore, my attempts to resolve this matter directly with the hotel via email have gone without response. This failure to provide a restful stay, combined with the hotel’s unresponsive post-stay service and unfulfilled promises, is unacceptable. Prospective guests should be aware of these severe potential disruptions and the hotel's pattern of inadequate follow-up service.

"Valet service"

Hotel was very nice! Had a great breakfast. Deviant and Drew were so nice and helpful. Our Uber was across the street and Drew ran over to get it for us in the brutal cold. We so much appreciated that! All the staff was very friendly!
