The Patrician Hollywood Universal

My fiance and I came to Pasadena to elope. We reached out to the hotel to ask if we could have a small wedding ceremony on their property. They agreed. (A first wedding for them!) They helped us pick the ideal spot, snapped photos, provided flowers, and even celebrated the occasion with champagne. TJ and Jordie are the most incredible hosts and we plan on coming back to celebrate our anniversary! In regards to the location- it is a gorgeous and spacious spot filled with cultural artifacts collected from their travels. It is truly breathtaking, and meeting TJ and Jorie- the home is filled with love. Thank you for a wonderful weekend getaway. We appreciate you so much.

The Patrician is a unique place. You need to have a car to get there, but once you are there, you have an incredible view and very quiet and safe surroundings. Most important about The Patrician is TJ, the owner. He runs this place with love and dedication, is always there if you need support, prepares a wonderful breakfast, and is one of the best hosts we have ever experienced!

Our room has not been the biggest, and the furniture is a bit older. But everything was very clean, and in comparison with the strong sides of The Patrician, these were only minor issues.

Location was amazing. Beautiful daytime and nighttime views. A very special home. Wonderful hospitality.

Absolutely amazing place, amenities, and hosts!!! The level of care and attention to details is unmatched. Beautiful home atop the hill with gorgeous views of the cities below. Attentive hosts who are always available for great stories, nightcaps, and early morning breakfast. Love our stay here & will highly recommend to everyone. Parking is available for those who hate parking on the street.

This bnb was a wonderful experience. TJ was one of the best hosts I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing for a bed and breakfast, and truly showed me what the bed and breakfast experience should be from now on. TJ truly has a wealth of knowledge For Pasadena and the greater Los Angeles area and is a very good resource for what to do if you ever are at a loss when you're on vacation.

TJ and Jorie, the owners/operators, were fantastic. They really took care of us and made us feel at home. Their home and the surrounding environment are equally lovely, particularly the views of LA. The other guests were likewise engaging and fun. We highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a relaxing, homey vibe with stimulating, intelligent, and fun conversation.

This is an older large home located atop a hill among many private luxury homes in an exclusive area. While the outdoor areas are pleasing with great views, the inside is dated and not inviting. More like inside an antique store. The Route 66 room downstairs was sweet but very small. I didn’t realize upon booking that it included a shared tiny bathroom! Omg! Who pays $353 a night for a shared bathroom with some guy and his teenage daughter thru the other pocket door! This property was highly rated probably due to its quiet remoteness, free parking and limited rooms. It would have been an acceptable alternative to pricey large chain hotels in the area, but that shared bathroom was/is a complete dealbreaker.

Staying at this place was a truly unique experience. The hotel is comfortable with exquisite decorations. The garden is beautiful with playful birds drinking water. You can have a good view of Los Angeles from the property. Host TJ is super friendly, and we had great conversation. He also gave us detailed info about best locations to view Hollywood sign and LA downtown, and parking place visiting Hollywood star walk.
