Hakuba Powder Republic

It was like a family home experience.

It’s not walking distance to shops or restaurants, a car is required.

If we ever come back to Hakuba we will stay here. The location was perfect for us because it was away from the madness of town. We ended up using the daily shuttle provided to Tsugaike and it worked perfectly. There isn't much for food in that area but we would grab food, snacks, and beer from the konbini in Tsugaike. If you want to get to Hakuba it was just a short walk to the road to catch the shuttle. Alan and his staff are so cool, helpful and fun. We brought our boards but I would have been happy using what he rents next time. Amigo rents good boards.

The owner was great and really made an effort in all ways. I give the owner 5 star. The onsen/ bathroom was very nice (but only one shower for the whole hotel is very strange and not enough) The house is beautiful ON THE OUTSIDE The heater in the room was effective.

The room was just a catastrophy. Like a very bad doormatory. No place to store or even put your clothes which makes it very difficult when you are 3 skiers in one room. No shelfs, no wardrope, no cupboards, no hooks on the wall, NOTHING. Just sparse and bare like a prison cell really. We were left to put our things on the discusting floor :( The carpets on the floor, both in the room and in the hallway was just discusting. PLEASE CHANGE!!! The whole hotel is very very very simple, which is okay, but NOT OKAY if you marketing yourself as a 3 star hotel and charge 3 star hotel prices. Value for money = 0 Breakfast poor (but ok) One (!) toilet for the whole hotel.

Clean and comfortable place with very friendly, helpful staff. A big thank you to Alan for helping us with transfers, lifts, and answering all our questions — it made the stay much easier and more enjoyable. The hotel is a short drive from most Hakuba ski resorts and easy to get around with shuttles, buses, taxis, and Uber. Just note there isn’t much right next to the hotel, so a bit of planning is needed for shops and restaurants. Overall, a great base for skiing in Hakuba.

allan and all the staff were so welcoming and warm 🫶🏻 transport is arranged to and from tsugaike resort, and yummy breakfast is provided! they also have a shop down the road for skiing/snowboarding rental at super great prices. also an shower/onsen room that feels crazy good after a day of snowboarding ahhahah

Great location , 5 minutes to Tsugaki and Iwatake ski resorts . very nice and friendly staff, willing for help all the time . and the room is clean and warm, you can soak in the bathtub for relax . Free pick up to Hakuba station 。
