Magnifique maison dans la forêt, les hotes sôt d'une gentillesse incroyable. La chambre est confortable, bien équipée. Les onsen sont super agreables, et on peut les privatiser ! Nous y retournerions sans hesiter !

C'est un peu loin du centre, mais l'hote a fait les trajets en voiture pour nous! Sauf l'aller qui se fait en taxi. Les repas se commandent 7 jours en avance... trop tard pour nous, alors malheureusement nous n’avons pas pu gouter ....

It was very comfortable and decorated in a welcoming and thoughtful manner. Great location away from the hustle and bustle of the town. The dinners were excellent as were the breakfasts. The owners are kind, thoughtful and caring. They gave the guests lifts to the bus or train station every morning and as well, provided us with places to eat, possibly itineraries, and directions to places we wanted to visit. They even called to confirm the train schedule for us. We appreciated the outdoor Onsen.

The owners are super friendly and helpful. The in the woods is lovely. The on-site Onsen is nice.

This charming inn was very comfortable and the rooms were spacious. We enjoyed the private onsen that felt like it was set amongst the trees. The owners couldn't have been more helpful. Elizabeth was warm and went out of her way to make our stay exceptional - providing recommendations, making reservations, and even giving us a ride to town when taxis were not available. Satoshi made excellent meals. It was a magical experience staying at Gableview Forest Inn.

The inn is outside of the main part of Nikko and cannot be easily reached by walking. Without a car, you need to rely on taxis, which are not always available.

We had such a lovely stay at Gableview! We were welcomed by Elizabeth who was incredibly kind and helpful, the inn itself was beautiful and our room was cozy and very comfortable. But our favorite thing were the several baths we could use, so relaxing! Nikko can be very busy with tourists but that completely made up for it:))

We don't really have any points of criticism, if we ever come to Nikko again we would stay here again:)

Both hosts were wonderfull! They made sure our stay was pleasant and would advise us beforehand about getting there. Elizabeth would even go out of her way to help us with an itinerary and bring us in the morning to the station of the shrine. We advise you to book with meals included; they were he best meals we've had this vacation! The beds were also really soft and the room was big. The private onsen was a lovely add on after a day of walking!

We had a great stay at Gableview Forest Inn. Elisabeth had great tips for things to do and where to go in the region. We booked breakfast and dinner which were both delicious and served in the dining room with forest view. The cozy room had a very comfy bed, enough space, amenities and also beautiful forest view. The private onsen was a beautiful experience which we used every evening to relax and rewind. We highly recommend staying here and would love to do so again if we are back in Nikko.

Gableview Inn was used as a base for exploring the Nikko area. It suited this purpose very well, but was also a highlight in itself. Breakfast was very good and the evening meal exceeded expectations on both nights. Communication was very prompt. The team at Gableview was very welcoming and helpful. Our stay was comfortable. A charming inn.
