Nos tocó la última habitación y tienes un camino andando a -16 grados, por lo que pagas podrían ponerte algo para llevar la maleta. Tienes 15 minutos por hora de agua caliente.

The view is absolutely breathtaking — you can literally see the Northern Lights right above you! Breakfast was delicious and already included in the booking, which was a nice touch.

The only downsides: it’s about 50 minutes away from Levi center, and there was a wooden smell in the room — but honestly it’s expected since you’re in the middle of nature. Also, the bathroom is quite small.

We were lucky enough to see the aurora on our first night. Their spa facilities are excellent, and they even offer an ice bath experience in the river (we were too scared to try—lol). The cracking sounds in the forest were unlike anything we've experienced before. At first, it feels strange and intimate, but once you realize it's the sound of wood cracking due to the extreme cold, it becomes part of the unique natural experience. Coming from the U.S., we'd never heard anything like it. Interestingly, when we visited Saariselkä afterward, we didn’t hear that sound again—truly a one-of-a-kind memory. Overall, we had a great time. One small issue: we had heater problems twice during our 3-night stay. However, the maintenance team responded immediately and resolved the issue quickly. I believe this has likely been fully resolved by now. Oh, and their glögi? The best we had in all of Finland (we had glögi every day—lol). A truly wonderful experience.

The room is spectacular, and the view is incredible. Its remote location makes it fantastic for watching the auroras. The breakfast covers the essentials, though it isn’t spectacular. The heated floor, the air conditioning system, and the insulation all work excellently—so well that we had to set the temperature a bit low because we started feeling warm at night.

Customer service is non-existent; they couldn’t care less about giving you a proper welcome. It would have been better if the place were a self-managed Airbnb. From the moment we arrived at the parking lot, the bad experience began. There’s no signage indicating where the reception is; the first door you see is the kitchen door with all the garbage. After spending five minutes scrutinizing photos, we finally managed to decipher the entrance, but during all that time, the receptionist didn’t even budge to help us—despite knowing that a car had parked there. After filling out the necessary paperwork, we were told we had to unload our suitcases using a sled down a steep path. The suitcases would fall, get wet, and hit you as you went downhill. It was a terrible experience, especially after later discovering that there is a path suitable for our rental car to unload the luggage directly to the room—and not a single hotel staff member was available or willing to help. Having an ATV or golf cart to give you a ride could be an improvement. The entrances to the rooms are covered in slippery ice; you need to be careful. First, to avoid slipping, and second, to try not to bring too much snow inside, as the vestibule/mudroom area is very small and soon you end up on the bed. The closet for storing your clothes is very small; the wall is large but not used efficiently. You end up with your clothes either packed in the suitcase or scattered on the floor—simply awful. At breakfast, there is an additional charge for hot chocolate—an outrageous surcharge. It’s listed among the drink options on the menu without any written notice or indication from the staff that it would incur an extra cost and be added to the room bill. It was very unpleasant to find out at check out that I had been charged 6 euros for a hot chocolate. Once we were settled in, we looked for the hotel’s Wi-Fi, only to find out they don’t have it.

You pay over $500 per night and then you don’t even get access to Wi-Fi in the room, the hot tub, and spa facilities. They want to charge you extra for those. It is extremely overpriced and not a good value. The room was nice and it was beautiful, but I would not recommend paying more than $200 for something like this because it is a very small room and you do not get much else.

My boyfriend and I spent 2 weeks in Lapland this past Christmas. Magical! :) The first place we stayed was Arctic Skylight Lodge. Snow covered everywhere. Cute rooms with amazing views. Wonderful service. Great restaurant on property by the way. Definitely make a reservation for dinner. We went snowmobiling with a local service and it was THEE BEST snowmobiling we had our entire stay. The trails and scenery were amazing. Definitely recommend staying here. You won't be disappointed.
