Outside Inn

Hosts on site. Close walk into old town about 20 minutes. The T. V. was not working and a light fixture was out.No a big deal for the inexpensive price.. nice little patio with running spring water display.. Friendly.

Love this place! Would stay again

As always a quiet peaceful place to go. The walk into historical Nevada City is quick and easy. The town of Nevada City has numerous historical shops and buildings. The Cottage at the outside inn is away from the main portion of the hotel. The Cottage is a two bedroom one bath full kitchen with a private deck.

Excellent service and fantastic atmosphere for family and friends, will be coming back!

This is truly one of the loveliest hotel/motel experiences I have ever had. And I’ve stayed at far more expensive places, including the Ritz Carlton! I’d rather go to the Outside Inn any day! The rooms are all so individual and allow you to pick one that best suits your needs. There are also cottages and a house! It’s a very short walk to downtown Nevada City. It’s cozy and welcoming in the old fashioned sense. The couple that run it are delightful and one gets the feeling of personal care that is sadly absent from most of the corporate chain hotels. It’s relaxing, it’s conveniently located, and is refreshingly human and friendly. Can’t wait to return.

Our family stayed in the cottage. It was well stocked and comfortable. We loved the large deck under the pines. It had plenty of seating. Everything even the deck was clean. My only disappointment was the cottage decor has changed. It now has a we had this furniture left from somewhere else vibe. Glass coffee table and sparkling art, lost a bit of the coziness from past stays. Would I stay again, absolutely. The owners were kind and our stay was comfortable.

Great staff. Easily walkable to downtown, clean rooms, we liked “the Cabin”. Lots of amenities. Overall has changed where we stay in Nevada City

Well run and maintained by a lovely couple. Grwat pool and garden area for peaceful relaxation and easy interactions with other happy guests. It is close to the historic downtown and trails so you can leave your car and enjoy Nevada City. Rooms are nostalgic yet have all one needs...fullsize coffee maker...fridge and microwave. We look forward to returning in the future.
