Rye Family Beach Shack

We were there in very cold wet weather and the hosts had the heating and lighting turned on for us, for a safe and cosy arrival! The house itself was nicely appointed, the kitchen had heaps of appliances, including an air fryer and quite a few consumables as well. Had some issues with the front gate, but the hosts were helpful in resolving it.

Comfortable stay and lovely hosts

Gorgeous and private beach shack. Very close to the beach and shops.

Loved how bright and open the house was. And that there was ample supplies (tea cups, gas for bbq, warm bedding etc.)

Had a bit of a musty smell at first but after a few days of open windows it was gone. Also the oven was dirty so we had to clean it before use (very Smokey)

Really comfortable and spacious. Beds were particularly comfortable. We were a bit surprised that one bedroom was actually adjoining another one, but as it only ended up with two of us each night, that wasn’t an issue. May have been tricky if someone had to walk through another friend’s bedroom for the loo. I don’t remember seeing this information in the specifics.

As above. Could also do with some more comfy outdoor furniture.

Very comfortable, great amenities. Catered for everything! Relaxed environment. Smooth process if getting in.

Way too hot with several 35 C days in a row. Dinning chairs seats are sunken in, very uncomfortable, and terrible for back pain. Outdoor sun lounges were very dated, one of the two was broken.

Great location within short walking distance to beach. Very clean and well equipped. Property is securely fenced for dogs.

Only one air-conditioner which is located in the lounge room. It didn’t cool the room that well.
