Our first room had the room darkening blind missing, but the television worked. We were moved to another room that smelled mildewing. The darkening blind was torn and could not be pulled all the way down or up at all and the tv could not get a signal. The bathroom door kept closing because the doorstop is broken. The USB ports next to the bed are useless because they are crooked. The workout equipment is dusty; the water machine is scaly and there are dead and alive bugs on the workout room floor. We are trying to figure out how a hotel less than 5 years old is in such disrepair. These are minor maintenance issues and general upkeep. Also, the hotel had one staff person on site both days of our stay. They were very nice, but it was evident they were overwhelmed. We can only surmise the owner does not care about their guests or employees. We travel to Bardstown at least 4 times per year. We will be staying next door to the Fairfield Inn.
