Hotel Eleo at the University of Florida

Spent a week here while a family member was hospitalized at Shands Cancer Hospital. It was so convenient — just a short walk to the hospital. I appreciated so much the hospitality shown from Hotel Manager Amber and Front Desk staff Antwon. Also found servers in the restaurant, Coveys, to be very kind.

Clean, great staff and nice big room.

Have to pay for parking.

Excellent stay. Spacious and clean rooms with a very nice, clean, modern, and well designed bathroom. The only issue is the AC can be too loud when it comes on and woke me frequently at night but I am a light sleeper. The convoy kitchen was great too! We would stay here again.

The staff provided exceptional service, ensuring that all our needs and desires were met during a particularly stressful period in our lives. Our beloved dog was unwell and being treated at UF. Having had a negative experience with a different hotel previously, we were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and beauty of Elio. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the accommodations, including their willingness to assist with our 60-pound golden doodle by providing a luggage cart for her transportation. The view from the full glass windows was stunning, allowing our dog to enjoy the outdoors from inside. The bathroom was spacious and immaculate, offering a relaxing shower after a long and stressful day. The valet staff were all exceptional, ensuring we were well-prepared and assisting with any requests, even retrieving items from our car. They maintained a positive attitude and provided excellent service throughout our stay. Upon departure, they helped us with our dog, ensuring she was comfortable in the car and even providing water for the journey home. Derek, in particular, went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable, showing compassion and care during a difficult time. Despite the circumstances, we will only stay at Elio for future visits to Gainesville, especially considering its convenient location near UF.

The hotel is beautiful but I can’t say enough about the front desk woman whose name is Ishany. She was so pleasant and sweet when we first arrived that it made us feel like family (I did graduate as a double gator!). But then we had trouble when our toilet broke down. She got someone up quickly to fix it. Though it seemed fixed, it shortly developed the same problem. We called Ishany and she quickly got us moved into a new room. She was very apologetic even though it was not her fault at all. She has been so nice and very professional that we will always want to stay here when we re visiting. Thank you Ishany, you made our stay a wonderful one.

We spent the evening at the Eleo after a Gator Basketball game and planned to have Valentine's dinner at their on-site restaurant. Unfortunately, it seemed they were out of more things than they actually had -- maybe an exaggeration but it felt that way -- out of steak, roasted chicken, mashed potatoes. Ordered a wedge salad that came out chopped; my guess, out of the wedge. The food we had was good but certainly nothing special. I know it was Valentine's so there's that element and they were quite busy. The servers and bartenders at the restaurant were very good! Hotel is clean, rooms are nice and it's in a good location but to us, the value for the cost of the room was not realized.

Wonderful, modern, friendly hotel. Our room was beautiful and immaculate. Our dog was welcome. The restaurant was exceptional. And the area around the hotel was walkable, great for us and the dog after a long travel day. Highly recommend.

My son had a campus tour and we stayed two nights. We had dinner at Covey and breakfast. Service was excellent and food was good and priced well. We got a lake view room and it was lovely. Clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend staying here for a level of service and comfort high above a normal chain hotel. Valet service very speedy and everyone who works there is helpful and kind.
