Swiss-Belhotel Solo

Surakarta is a wonderful city but here are better hotels. Hotel beds are wonderfully comfortable but the atmosphere control is poor and service could be more gracious and better informed. The architecture is not functional and the building has high heat load on the face. The AC can't cope in some rooms and in general the communal areas are not well air conditioned and too hot. The manager gave us a room upgrade when it was clear our room couldn't be cooled below 25 degrees centigrade. Breakfast is excellent but filter coffee is poor. Overall Swiss hotels need to spend more on their architecture - nice interior design doesnt address functional limitations of the build. The swiss belhotel rewards program isn't well advertised - despite having adverts on every menu the majority of staff aren't able to explain the conditions clearly.

I'm on a business trip to hotel and the AC doesn't work and is stuck around 23 in room and throughout hotel and internet is mediocre. Placed requests to fix it many times to various staff at front desk and on restaurant floor but AC still hot. I wouldn't recommend the hotel despite the lovely pool and friendly staff.

The best customer service, very kind & nice. Room very clean Restaurant has a complete varieties of food The help for seniors (like us) always available, helping us to the car and out from the car.

Staffs are friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was mostly chicken menu, tasteless.

Good facility

Not much around within the walking distance.

Pillows and bed were very comfortable.

Bathroom looks old and needs renovation.
