Paraíso Quetzal Lodge

Lo más positivo de la estancia es el personal del bar y la posibilidad de fotografiar y observar aves en los alrededores del alojamiento. Los precios del restaurante dentro de lo caro que es en otros lugares del país son razonables.

Reservamos un tipo de habitación y nos dieron una inferior. Al quejarnos al respecto nos comentaron que ya no había disponibilidad para el tipo de habitación que habíamos reservado y solo nos ofrecieron un cambio al día siguiente, cosa que finalmente no hicimos porque no merecía la pena estar moviendo las maletas y objetos personales para lo que restaba de estancia ya que el alojamiento tiene grandes pendientes por las que tienes que cargar el equipaje. Como compensación nos invitaron al equivalente a un almuerzo en el alojamiento.

Tolle Lage in den Bergen - sehr viele Vögel direkt an der Lodge zu sehen! Private Wanderwege (Eingangstore mit dem Zimmerschlüssel zu öffnen) sind toll, hier kann man auch mehrere Tage verbringen. Zimmer sind geräumig, wenn auch recht einfach. Gebuchte Tour am Morgen auf dem Grundstück war sehr gut - wenn auch nicht billig.

Heizung per Heizlüfter kann in kalten Nächten das geräumige Zimmer nicht immer warm halten. Zufahrtswege auf dem Gelände z.T. recht steil, aber kein Problem.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. We stayed in a Superior Bungalow which had magnificent views so a good place to be when it rained. Staff gave us a lesson in how to use the spa so could have a soak when it was cold & rainy outside. Room was super clean & food in restaurant tasty. We stayed for 6 days, did the walking trails each day and saw heaps of birds.

As warned by the hotel and previous guest reviews, the room can get cold so we kept the heaters on all the time which helped.

El bello entorno natural calmó mi alma. El tour de quetzales desde el hotel también fue fantástico. Sin duda, me alojaría de nuevo en este hotel. Muchas gracias.

Unfortunately we didn’t enjoy our stay and left after one night.

It’s Glamping in wooden huts that are not insulated and when it rains it soon becomes very uncomfortable. Wind and rain battered our hut, it was noisy and cold. They provide you with extra blankets, an a electric heater and a hot water bottle but I must say it wasn’t what I was expecting. We were in No. 9 which is very small and precariously perched on soil that looks like it could soon slip. The hut slops to the right and so does the bed. We had a terrible night and told reception the next morning that we would be leaving. The restaurant menu is such that you have to choose a set menu of two or three courses. Not an enjoyable stay.

Im Bett war Körperbehaarung und Ejakulat auf dem Leintuch. Nach dem Zeigen des Bettes wurde dieses neu bezogen. Trotzdem, das ist ein no Go! Die Dusche läuft ständig, macht den Boden nass und das Geräusch stört. Manager meinte, das wäre normal. Wir können diese Unterkunft nicht weiterempfehlen.

As many people have mentioned, at an altitude of 2700 metres it is inevitably cold at night. The bungalows have single pane glass and little insulation and portable heating which is insufficient .
