At Journey's End

Communication was excellent. I had alot of questions and the response was quick. The room was magnificent. Enjoyed the amenities. Great location! I will book here again.

Instructions were a little unclear as to which room was ours.

Excellent location to shops and restaurants as you can walk everywhere. Cute balcony off the bedroom.

The room had a bad smell almost like a urine odor. Perhaps the carpet in the room needs to be replaced. The bed was ok but very squeaky. The property also never confirmed what room we were staying in so upon arrival it took some time to get through to someone to confirm our room.

The room is very beautiful—nicely painted, tastefully decorated, and with a modern touch, including a good TV. The location is truly perfect, within walking distance of the main historic sites, museums, and restaurants, which makes everything very convenient. The property operates more like a guest house or vacation rental than a traditional hotel. It is not modern, which is understandable given the historic setting, but it is organized and equipped with the essentials. We appreciated that all doors have secure, modern locks. Although breakfast is no longer offered (it was discontinued a few years ago), the kitchen is available and well equipped for guest use. Free private parking is also a big plus. We would especially like to mention Simóne, the cleaning staff member, who was very helpful and always available for anything we needed.

There are several details that affect the overall impression. Unfortunately, I was unaware that I should have taken photos, but these are my observations: The bar of soap provided is very small. More importantly, the exterior areas show a lack of maintenance: the garden is unkept, the balcony and rocking chairs were dusty, and the exterior windows had visible green mildew. The terraces, tables, and chairs clearly need a good rinse, and the cushions look worn and neglected. We also noticed some worn or moldy items that should be replaced, as they detract from the property. Overall, the outside areas feel neglected, which contrasts with the well-kept interior.

It was very cold and it did not have heaters.

Location was great. Very comfortable bed and room. Having a porch was a bonus.

I was hoping for some kind of breakfast.

Great location to walk to many attractions btu also felt secluded too.

People staying upstairs had a small child they stomped and ran late at night and early in the morning.
