Plaza Hotel, Preston Lancashire, Sure Collection by Best Western

Pleasant stay and provided what we needed. Friendly staff would stay again.

The rooms are dated though and could do with an upgrade. I couldn't shower without wetting my hair as an old-fashioned wall fixed shower head. And it was so high up and I'm not tall. These fixtures could be updated without to much expense.

This hotel is now a little faded. But goodness me the staff more than make up for a little shabbiness of decor. The rooms are very clean; beds are super comfortable; showers are really good; continental breakfast is lovely. I was unfortunately taken to hospital during my stay, and things got a bit chaotic. However, the cancellations and rebooking were no problem to them. The housekeeper very kindly packed up my suitcase and belongings and kept them safe for my return. I really cannot thank them enough. I would return in a heartbeat. People are more important than an ultra fancy decor. Many thanks to all the staff.

A handrail over the bath/shower would be good.

The location was good and fairly central for our visit. To see friends and go out for the evening

This is a nice hotel, which we have stayed at a few times. Comfy room and bed, and our room had a continental breakfast in the price. Is next to a popular pub restaurant, which we like to eat at.

Nothing - all good

Nothing. They rang me and cancelled my booking saying they had system errors and had double booked and were now full. They then took my money saying i didn’t turn up!!! The same night I had to book in to another hotel due to this so it cost me double and The Plaza won’t refund me!!! Shocking behaviour and robing b’s!!!

Didn't have breakfast.. Was very quiet had a good night's sleep

I think the bed could benefit from a new mattress
