Beautiful location, perfect for hiking. Friendly hosts, great cooked breakfast. Appreciated the room having a bath as well as a shower after a long day of walking.

"A rare gem. "

Amazing find. A quaint hotel in an amazing location. Great service. The bird life & Red Squirrels visible from my bedroom window was incredible. A must for wildlife watchers. Walkers would love it as well as there’s literally a path in to the hills at the gate. Do the steam railway trip. You can hear the trains as the pass 5 minutes walk across the valley. Great hosts, breakfasts were perfect. I’ll be back.

"Lovely place"

Breakfast really good and lots of choice. Wonderul location. Charming wildlife red squirrel, garden birds, deer. Plenty of Books,Maps and advice available to help you explore the area. Comfy bed.

"Fabulous breakfast and wonderful wildlife."

Lovely location. The Red Squirrels and other wildlife. Corrine and Kate were very friendly and attentive. The superb breakfast and flapjacks!

The conservatory is a great location for breakfast but the experience could be enhanced if the fuschia was trimmed so you can see the birds and squirrels on the feeders.
