Everything about this little gem of a place puts a smile on my face, from the location, food and especially the wildlife.. the owners are super friendly and attentive .. second visit and will be returning .. the surrounding area is outstanding for exploring and walking..

Fantastic guest house with - very comfortable and homely with great facilities and beautiful location. Breakfasts were delicious. Access to range of walks was superb.

There was nothing we didn't like.

Everything was great! The guest house is cosy and in a great location in the Lakes. The room has great views and like everyone else, we enjoyed a very generous breakfast in the conservatory watching the birds and squirrels. Very friendly place, and would definitely return in the spring or summer.

Nothing to dislike!

The breakfast was extensive and hearty. Nothing beats having a good breakfast whilst being able to watch red squirrels munch on hazelnuts and see a fantastic array of British garden birds. A real treat!

Beautiful rural location. Red squirrels everywhere whilst eating breakfast in the conservatory. Owls calling during the night was so special. Highly recommend if you want peace and quiet. Local pub Half a mile down the road served great food and a warm open fireplace

Beautifully located with fabulous views. Comfortable, clean rooms with excellent breakfast. Loved the squirrels and the birds.

Lovely staff, fabulous and timely breakfasts. Stunning location with walk from the door hikes and close to Wasdale and the Ratty train station. Several pubs nearby to eat at. Lovely gardens, views of the fells, and views of the red squirrels at breakfast time. Packed lunches also on offer.

Our room was quite cosy with 2 dogs but we managed just fine. There are bigger rooms available though.
