Forest How Guest House

Forest How was a joy. Peaceful, comfortable, warm, clean, the grounds and surrounding area were perfect. Breakfast was outstanding and packed lunches were provided on request at a cost of course, as we were walking all day it really was a bonus to have a lunch provided to save us looking for food out. Lunches were spot on and packaged in recyclable packaging.

Lovely garden, good breakfast in the conservatory watching the red squirrels, nice walk along the bridle path just outside the gates.

Beautiful location

Very small checking in window (5-8), bathroom a bit grubby, bins and towels not changed for the whole stay (4 nights).

Friendly and helpful hosts. Very clean room and bathroom. Great facilities and breakfast. Very quiet location. Loved the red squirrels, birds and mountain scenery. A great stay!

We had a great stay at Forest How. The location was ideally suited for walking Scafell Pike. The owners were super friendly and we really appreciated their understanding of the traffic which meant we arrived late. They were also very friendly with our dog. Breakfast was lovely and it's wonderful watching the wildlife in the garden while you eat in the conservatory. The view from our room was also excellent.

If I was being super critical the TV in our room was a little small and there were some cobwebs in our room on arrival which could have been dusted away.

Breakfast in abundance, cleanliness impeccable and polite and friendly owners.

The thorns down the last small road to get to Forest How could have been clipped back a bit as my car doors aren’t the same since!
