River Ridge Cottages

This cottage compared to the economy cottage is so much better. Everything is perfect. Compared to the economy cottage, the fixtures and appliances are much newer and there are mixed water taps. The cottage is beautifully decorated with bear theme and is spacious. While we did not use, there is also a beautiful bathtub with a rooftop window for stargazing. The bed is comfortable and the kitchenette is equipped with the necessary utensils, plates, kettle and microwave. Outside the cottage you can enjoy the view mountain and river. Love this cottage.

Overall the room is clean and spacious with a small kitchenette. The cottage is lovely and has a homely feel and we can see that much thoughts were put into decorating the room. The bed is comfortable and shower has enough water and is hot enough. The river view is really beautiful. However, it would be perfect if the following improvements could be made: 1) put a hair dryer in each room instead of having to request from the office 2) the toilet seat cover is missing 3) there is no kettle for boiling water.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom 2 bath cottage. It was spacious and beds were comfortable. Location was perfect for quick access to town and to RMNP. There is some road noise during the day and early evening but not noticeable at night. It wasn’t an issue for us. There were only 2 pans available for cooking, a large pan and a skillet. Owner communicated in advance with check in instructions, location of room, parking and how to contact him for any questions or concerns we may have. We enjoyed our stay.

A decent place to stay for a few days for couples. Overall it was clean, bed was comfortable, had a small fridge and stove, which is nice. If you have more than 3 people, your going to be on top of each other. The bathroom set up, however, is not user friendly at all. The shower is just crazy small! My husband and I are smaller people and we both had a hard time showering. Also, there are two sinks- one in the bathroom and one outside in the bedroom and both have two faucets running hot and cold separately. The faucets are not close so trying to get "warm" water at the same time was impossible. It is a lovely location, being right next to the river but being close to the park entrance is probably the biggest plus for us.

Clean. Beautiful area with the river right behind the property. Overall, for the price range it was very nice. There were just a few things I didn't really like or would have been nice to have known. Only 3 hangers for 2 bedrooms. 2 spoons. the remote to the tv didn't work. heating was really hard to control temperature. There were floor units with dials but no numbers or thermostat to set temperature so it was hit or miss. And there was a door right next to one bed that went to adjoining place that only had a tiny sliding lock set into the trim to separate the two area which my mom didn't like at all, so we had to set a chair between bed and door so that it couldn't open. Overall, a great place to stay if you know what you are getting. Just a few things could be changed at very low cost to owner to make it a lot better.

Overall a good stay … our cottage had no sink in bathroom so no place to put toiletries , had to wash hands etc in BR sink …had difficulty adjusting heat , no AC. No office to check in , have to wait to hear from Caleb for instructions. Caleb was very nice , accommodating.

Older functional clean Unit adjacent to river. Great value for a 2-nite getaway near RMNP entrance.

Cute and cozy cottage. Staff was checking with us every day during our stay to make sure if we had everything we need. Very communicative and friendly!!
