Lovely traditional inn and friendly staff

Super friendly and helpful staff, a beautifully decorated room with lots of helpful amenities (including a fridge with fresh milk for morning tea) and a very comfortable bed - I think it was a super king and both the mattress and pillows were great, we slept so well. Breakfast was delicious with lots of options for fresh cooked meals, and the location was great for exploring the New Forest by car, really central and never more than 15/20mins to a cute town or a great walking spot. Was a bit worried about noise from the road when we arrived, but inside you can't hear cars at all, and the traffic really dies down in the evening anyway.

Nothing, it was all great.

Having the bed made and room tidied was very welcome. The dining room was good as was the food. Great location.

All the staff at this Inn were amazing. Food is excellent, both the breakfast and evening meals.

Quite a bit of dust in our room, on pictures and lampshade. Apart from that it was clean everywhere else.

Very comfortable bed, room was good size as was bathroom. Very clean, great selection of teas and coffees and two tasty cookies left as welcome gift. Food is always top quality, this is our fourth(I think) stay and standard has been consistent every time. Perfect location with public transport to Southampton, Lymington and new forest villages a two minute walk away.

Location and property excellent

The room stank of drains, so much so when we took our clothes out of the bag we had hung up in the room to smelled the same, such a real shame because the place is lovely

The food was not great The biggest issue was the horrible smell from the bathroom drain

Lovely country pub with a fantastic menu, delicious food and really comfy rooms .

Our room had a very strong drain smell and we couldn’t turn the heating down, but it didn’t ruin our stay.
