Hotel Siglo 17

Gar nichts gefallen. Unterkunft ist eine komplette Katastrophe gewesen. Leider. Das Personal ist durchaus nett, aber leider total desinteressiert. Das große Problem war der Lehrer Streik beziehungsweise ist der andauernde Lehrer Streik in Oaxaca. Dazu, dass das Hotel quasi zu hat . Aber trotzdem Booking anwählbar war. Der Parkplatz hat geschlossen, was eigentlich das größte katastrophale Problem war. Dazu komme ich gleich. Das Hotel war komplett ausgestorben. Restaurant etc. gab es nicht. Pool auf der Dachterrasse schien mir nicht gepflegt. Generell schien mir das Hotel so das auf Sparflamme runtergefahren wurde wegen des Lehrer Streiks. Es wurde mir zwar die Möglichkeit eingeräumt zu stornieren über Booking. Und dass man mir einen leicht Bep Preis macht, wenn ich direkt noch mal bei denen buche. Ich habe das natürlich gemacht, weil wir gestern erst sehr spät im Hotel angekommen sind Es wurde gesagt, parken geht nicht. Tragen Sie auf einem öffentlichen Parkplatz . Hier war keinerlei Hilfe. Ich musste das selber herausbekommen, wo einer ist. Ich habe dann ein schließlich gefunden, nach langem Verkehrsstaus und herum gefahre. Nur leider wurde mir nicht gesagt beziehungsweise war nicht transparent ersichtlich, dass der Parkplatz am Sonntag an unserem Abreisetag geschlossen ist beziehungsweise im Moment warten wir noch und hoffen, dass er um 15:00 Uhr nachmittags aufmacht. Es gibt keine Telefonnummer keine Chance, diesen Parkplatz zu erreichen. Ich sehe hier das Hotel in hoher Pflicht Informationen bereit zu stellen für Alternativen zum parken . Im Vorfeld hätte über die massive Einschränkung des WLAN Streiks informiert werden müssen über booking.com und es hätten Alternative Möglichkeiten zum parken angeboten werden müssen. Dazu zumindest vollkommen Transparenz und Informationen über das öffentliche Parkangebot. Kleinigkeiten zum Zimmer . Das Zimmer, in dem wir waren, war sehr dunkel. Keine besondere Ausstattung. Fernseher ohne Netflix Möglichkeit.

Und noch eine geile Sache . Morgens um 4:30 Uhr plötzlich direkt lautes Feuerwerk. Ich bin eigentlich nicht so, aber da hier kam einiges zusammen. Auch hier keinerlei Informationen vom Hotel. Erst als ich runter ging in die Lobby wurde mir gesagt das ist normal. no te preocupes. Also schlafen war auch sehr schwierig in diesem Hotel. Also, generell bin ich so verärgert wegen der wenigen Transparenz und wenigen Informationen, die hier gegeben wurden

The customer service. We took a tour verdad early morning and they changed the coffee shop opening time to prepared our box lunch. Also, we arrived earlier and we waited for 30 to have ready our rooms and llave the luggage

Locación, it is closer to the old dowtown than the touristic side. Other point is there is a pool and bar but there was not someone attending that side, for example, find somebody to take an orden for food or drinks.

The location is excellent, located in the quiet part of the city centre, few blocks from the main square but in a quiet and nice street. Nice cafés, restaurants and art galleries located few minutes away. The rooms are spacious, clean and very quiet. Hotel is a beautiful. The hotel has a pool of good size (for a city hotel) in the rooftop. There is complete privacy from neighbours.

The main issue of the hotel is the lack of natural ventilation in the rooms. Rooms only have one window which is in front of the bed (if windows are open, you see straight to the bed!), and there are no curtains! therefore there is no possibility to have the windows open and keep the privacy. Room is also warm and we NEED to turn on the AC as opening the window is not a good option I would recommend 100% the hotel to friends and family (and come back) only if there were curtains in the hotel so that air could circulate better!

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Siglo 17. Perfect central location – close to everything, yet very quiet at night. Beautifully designed hotel that feels like an art gallery. Spacious, clean, and very comfortable rooms. Lovely restaurant and an absolutely stunning rooftop swimming pool. A special thank you to Nadia at reception – she was exceptional: kind, helpful, knowledgeable, and genuinely wonderful. She made our stay truly memorable. An amazing human being :) Highly recommend – we would definitely come back.

Location and service. The courtyard and morning sounds. Could walk almost everywhere even with advancing neuropathy in our legs. Though your breakfasts were excellent, we found ourselves walking the half a block to Boulenc since they played a lot James Brown and Michael Jackson.

20th century infrastructure.

Great Location, Friendly Staff.

Not a Five Star Property as advertised, more like 3 ½ star. “Garden view” was actually an internal courtyard corridor view where people were walking right by our window consistantly, no outdoor view at all. Broken light fixtures, leaky bathroom sink, no hair dryer. Cobwebs along ceiling..

We had a lovely stay at siglo 17. The room was simple but nice, the hotel courtyard and roof are plovely. The location is also great, so easy to walk everywhere. We only ate breakfast there one day (it’s not included) but were pleasantly surprised - it was so good. One of the best moles we had on the trip. Nadia and Pati were extremely helpful when we were trying to figure out transportation, and a place to get simple takeout after stomach issues. They went above in beyond in helping us call restaurants, ticket counters etc. Thrilled we decided on this spot. definitely would stay again.

Nothing really! The gym was okay but we only needed something basic and was glad there was one.

Staff were lovely and incredibly helpful. Room was clean. Plunge pool was nice. Location was incredible.

Bed was sloping (?) and not very comfortable. No windows so felt a little gloomy.
