Elegant and spacious 2 bedroom

Location if you got kids, its mins to the children playground which is big and lovely.

Getting in the property was tricky, was the main door is on the side. Once we got inside it was pitch black, there was a light but couldnt switch on until you are on top floor. The floor board really need some TLC. From previuos reviews, the property needs a lot of work. There was a lamp on the table in living room, which previous people mentioned of no bulb, it was still not fixed when we got there. Garden a shame was neglected. The flooring very noisy, you could hear the flat downstairs when they were talking and tv was on.

Several issues, footpath to property uneven and badly lit. Very dirty, loose sockets in kitchen, sink tap loose, iron not working, cupboards all had a very musty smell, bathroom dirty. Cleaning clutter at bottom of stairs smelly.

The surrounding area was quiet enough.. we liked that we could use the kitchen items, so cook, with the microwave, make cuppa's when we wanted and use the washer/dryer to re wear clothing meaning we didn't need to take lots of luggage.

From opening the door to go up the stairs as this is an apartment above another below.. it was clear from the decorating that it was not 'Elegant' as the listing states.. although.. I think given some little expense and some time it could be much improved. The (3rd)? step down really does feel like it's going to go through.. so tread lightly.. the carpet needs a good shampoo as does the bed settee and the armchairs need replacing because of how worn they are.. the net curtains need putting in the bin, never seen so many tears in a set. There was no bulb in the lamp.. the bathroom radiator is rusty.. we didn't use the bath or shower as we hand washed in the sink.. the main bedroom window doesn't close completely so the curtains moved with the draught.. the vent on the wall is blocked off with some paper towel? The kickboard lighting at the base of the kitchen cupboards were hanging loose.. I have no idea why you would leave a table with so many burn marks on it in the kitchen,, replacement needed, the view of the garden out back was poor, looks like it needs a really good tidying out there. I saw no smoke detectors anywhere. You could hear the residents below at times. I'm really sure it's not right to ask for a £300 deposit on top of the property price.. if it was elegant inside then maybe.. I feel like others need to be aware of this.

Easy check in. Good location. Basic but comfortable.

Advertised and pictures show as sofa bed in lounge but this was not the case. Not enough pillows if want more than one each. Glass tables in lounge and kitchen not practical, particularly with children. Perhaps have place/drinks mats. And plastic cups/plates for kids? We were extra careful and fortunately no accidents but large drinking glasses put directly on a glass table made me nervous. Also a bottle opener would be handy. Described as 'elegant'. Not the most accurate adjective. Seems a bit tired. Needs TLC in places.
