The view, the staff, the comfort of the futons.

The walls were dirty and looked old or marked up. The door didn't close well. The bath in our room was mildewed and not fresh looking. It needed to be updated. The hotel seemed like an old hotel that had not been updated.

Location was close to bus stop and restaurants., Staff were very helpful for us non-japanese speakers. Room was spacious. Clean towels. Breakfast was good too.

Not the cleanest. Found some bugs crawling around. Wifi very slow. Bathroom faucet was leaky. Toilet did not have a bidet.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive; they even provided a car free of charge for two days of adventure. The location is absolutely stunning, with rooms looking up the river against a backdrop of green mountains.
