Portree Independent Hostel

L'état général des chambres est correct. Nous avons surtout apprécié la grande cuisine commune.

Room was very clean and tidy and the bathrooms were clean as well. Only downside was that we couldn't use most of the kitchen facilities.

Friendly staff and glad to meet great friends there too

Prima volta in ostello!! Non poteva andare meglio!!!! Organizzato, pulito, spazioso nelle cucina....camera con letto a castello, anche se nella prenotazione mi portava il matrimoniale, ma non importa, questo e' un dettaglio, l'unica cosa negativa e' stato il riscaldamento nella camera che, noi era quasi impercettibile e qui di abbiamo avuto freddo.....ma per tutto il resto lo consiglio tanto....ben fatto allo staff e ai proprietari ( mi e' parso di capire fossero giapponesi/cinesi) davvero bravissimi.....

Disappointing stay. Descriptions and photos they use in publicity do not match reality. Expected double bed, got two stacked single bunk beds. We did like, that, as a hostel the cooking and dining area was pleasant and well-equipped. Parking was in public space doen a steep hill or public stairs from the hotel. No on-premises or immediately nearby parking.

Mold all over the ceiling of the bathroom, pillow was thin and flimsy. Room smelled

This was a wonderful place. Located downtown close to bus station. Very clean and quite. Staff was great.

Originally booked early in the year as it was a ‘double room’ for 2 nights at £50 total. Got there to find a bunk bed in a single room, not a double bed. Neither of us can use bunk beds so had to shift top mattress to floor to try and get a sleep. We were also charged £100 for the 2 nights unlike the original £50. I could have booked a db&b for just more than that at the time I booked. Why would I pay twice as much for a bunk bed and a shared bathroom? The fellow hostellers clearly were used to maid service the state they left the floors swimming with water after they cleaned themselves... had I paid £50 for this I would have possibly had a better view ..
