The pictures and what the hostel looked like in reality was completely different. The whole hostel is divided into several buildings so to go to the sink from the double room you have to go to another building. Yes, the rooms do not have a sink and in the bathroom there is not even a curtain in the shower so that water does splash on the toilet. The bedding looks unchanged, the double room smelled of mould and dampness(bedding was wet of air humidity) In the double room or in the dorm there were no basic things such as lamps or hangers. cery uncomfortable stay. A duve or something to cover during sleep does not get in the price, you have to pay for it extra money. Dorm has a thin floor because of which apparently everything can be heard downstairs and you have to walk "quietly". I have no idea why such a high rating ! I do not know. Possibly from before the pandemic now the hostel looks run down, there are ants in the kitchen, the corpse of a lizard eaten by them, and a huge cockroach walked in the mixed room. The price was higher than for e.g. Sante Commune hostel and the difference in quality huge!!!! I would not recommend

the room, the ambience, and the people. felt like in bali , but it was in Jogjakarta

by the time i was check in , the staff came a lil bit late. but it didn't bother me at all

Great location, lots of bars and restaurants nearby (including cheapest laundry service we've found so far).

Wifi was terrible, no hot water unless we upgraded our room at an additional cost. Air vents (holes in walls) meant lots of mosquitoes got in the room and air-conditioning had to be full blast all the time.

Very friendly staff, really made us feel at home. Good support in booking tours and getting around the city. Location is decent, not too far (~15min walk) from the Kraton region. Close to a couple of streets with nice restaurants and coffee places. Guests can use the kitchen and there's free drinking water.

Bathrooms don't have a sink, which is rather uncomfortable for brushing teeth for example. There was a window without window, but covered with a cloth. Not a big issue, but did cause a couple of mosquito bites. We regret our decision to choose the room without AC, because our room with ventilator was quite humid and warm. Would 10/10 opt for AC for a couple of bucks extra!
