Location was fabulous, facilities were great and host John was simply wonderful. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating; he made our stay very enjoyable. We will definitely return.

Beautiful big room with mini kitchen huge shower and lovely onsen very luxurious.John owner amazing and very hospitable and even drove us to ski resort, picked us up from train. Awesome! Newly renovated and right opposite supermarket and restaurant. Well worth the $ treat yourself! Drying room for gear great! John even allowed our luggage to be sent their direct and keep it for us until our arrival 2 weeks later. Wow!

I booked the hotel Address Akakura with booking.com but unknown to me booking.com reserved rooms with the sister lodge for this hotel. This was a clear misrepresentation as I booked the hotel based on the facilities and location as a family with young children. I did not reserve a lodge with no facilities for food. John was great but the misunderstanding caused by booking.com showing me I had reserved rooms at the hotel but notifying the owner this was for his new lodge caused unnecessary friction and stress for me and my family on arrival from a very long journey. This ruined the first day completely of what was already a short period in Myoko. The lodge was good but it wasn’t what I had paid for or expecting.

It wasn’t what I researched or paid for. Misrepresentation by booking.com

"Greaet place to stay in Akakura"

Great location near the entrance of the ski place. The town is small, so can walk to get anything. The owner is super kind with great hospitality. It feels like staying in one of his houses. The room is newly renovated so everything works.

Our family room was in the annex building which is still being renovated so apart from the room, other facilities are not ready.
