Amistad Hotel Fukuoka

Clean, spacious rooms, all amenities worked as intended incl. air-con, TV, refrigerator and kettle. Large comfortable beds and practical kitchenette placed inside the apartment. Smooth check in & check out process although limited communication in English with reception staff.

Wall light switch provided in one place only (one side of the bed 2) which is neither practical nor the standard layout, given that there are two double beds spread across the room. I’d strongly recommend to change it as it’s not user friendly at all with awkward location provided for this light switch. Also, despite the kitchenette available inside the room, it’s wasn’t fully equipped. We were told we had to ask for plates, bowls & cutlery to be picked up from & brought back to reception upon check out which was rather inconvenient and required for no apparent reason. Location is not bad but could be better as it’s actually about 10-12 min walk from Hakata Station which wasn’t as close as we initially thought. Obviously not the hotel’s fault although I’d probably give it a second thought if I knew how long the route was while dragging the heavy luggage along.

ベッドが広くて、清潔だったので気持ち良く過ごせた。 シャンプーなど、いろいろ試せてとてもよかった。

観光マップを置いていなかったとこ。 チェックアウト時のカードの返却について、室内にも注意書きがあると忘れなくてよかった。 使用済みタオルを蓋付きボックスにいれるのは少し面倒だった。 靴べらが使いづらかった。

Not exactly a bad thing, but staffs English was a bit limited. They're doing their best though so please be patient with them as well!

Beautiful room and terrace. Good ramen shop next door and excellent western breakfast five minutes walk away were wonderful to have. Shampoo bar is cute.

Even though I changed our dates on booking.com either there was a snafu on booking or with the hotel and we were charged double what we should have been. I chose the most expensive room because of the terrace with the water feature. But the feature broke 15 minutes after it started. They said they would fix it the next day but they didn’t so I never got to enjoy it and they offered no discount. The room had no amenities I’ve come to expect in Japan like pajamas, a clothes rack (there was a washer in the room), or even drinking glasses.

部屋がとても綺麗で必要なものが全て揃っており、子供ありの家族で宿泊するにはとっても良かったです。キッチンには、食器洗い洗剤にスポンジ、鍋やフライパン、まな板に包丁まであり、さらにダイニングテーブル、電子レンジ、大きめの冷蔵庫、コーヒーメーカーもあったのにはびっくりしました。洗濯機には洗濯洗剤、浴室は浴室乾燥機もありました。空気清浄機も常備、アメニティもとても良かったです。ベッドの高さも低床で、子供の転落気にすることなくゆっくり休めました。受付の方の対応もすごく良くてこちらの質問にも笑顔でこたえてくださいました。

ねまきがワンサイズしかなく、子ども用がなかったのであれば嬉しいです。 あとバスマットがあればありがたかったです。

Location is great as close to the airport and Hakata station and easy walking distance to the main sights and the canal area. Facilities were great, lovely touch to be able to pick your own shampoo and toiletries in reception, the kids loved that. Also nice to have own kitchen in the room and the bathroom was excellent, the best we had in Japan. Staff were friendly and helpful.
