We just returned from an unforgettable spring break at Fairmont Mayakoba, and I can’t recommend it enough for families with kids. The resort is nestled in a stunning natural setting—lush mangroves, winding waterways, and a beautiful beach that kept both the adults and the kids happy all week long. From the moment we arrived, the service was top-notch. Alfonso from the bell desk went above and beyond at check-in, welcoming us with genuine warmth and making us feel right at home. What really stood out was that he remembered us throughout our entire stay—always greeting us with a smile, checking in to see how we were doing, and even giving us a golf cart ride one evening just because. It’s that kind of personal touch that made the experience feel truly special. The kids loved the boat rides through the canals, spotting turtles and birds, and we appreciated the calm, relaxing vibe throughout the property. The food options were great—plenty of choices for picky eaters and more refined options for grown-up tastes. We especially loved the beachside restaurants and the gelato station, which became a daily ritual for our crew. The resort is super family-friendly without feeling like a “kid zone.” The pools are spacious, and there’s a great balance of activities and downtime. We felt safe, well cared for, and totally unplugged from the daily grind. Fairmont Mayakoba truly exceeded expectations—it struck that rare balance between luxury and family fun. We’re already talking about going back next year.

Excellent service, everyone was extremely kind and attentive to all of our needs. We spend my mom’s birthday there (they didn’t know). Eventually someone spilled the news and although the birthday was a two days prior, they gift us a birthday dessert. Muchas gracias a Angel, Briss, Dulce, Eduardo, Ayax y Luis! Nos vemos pronto :)

A few good things: Cafe Maya, many pools Bad: restaurants play games with the credit cards. Make excuses so that they don’t have to take Amex and grossly overcharge you because many things don’t show a price (for I stance one restaurant bringing things to the take and it was unclear if it was complimentary or a charge? They just run up your tab and before you know it, you have spent 200-300.00!

Top notch service, excellent friendly, helpful staff. Shout out to Bellman Alfonso, he was wonderful at our check in! Gave us a tour and perfect recommendations for food in town as well as at resort. El Fogon in town is a must! Best restaurant at Mayakoba is Tauro the steak house. Excellent service, great martini bar, great food and atmosphere! Sebastian and German were amazing! Beach bar staff went above and beyond. Gilbert was the man! Front desk staff/concierge were also very helpful, polite and friendly. Elmer was the best! Room was delightful and quiet with big tub and outdoor shower in the jungle! Hix bar in the lobby is awesome. We will definitely be back! Worth doing the all inclusive package!

Amazing service from all the staff. We especially appreciated our breakfast staff at Fairmont Heritage: Brissey, Angel, Dulce, & Eduardo. Delicious food and outstanding service. Also outstanding, was our boat captain, Eduardo, who found and narrated the best wildlife viewing, arranged water shuttles between properties and kept us laughing. Muchas Gracias!

My wife, 3 adult daughters and a boyfriend just returned from a 5-night stay at Fairmont Heritage Place (HP) Mayakoba. After staying at the Fairmont resort next door for the last two years, we wanted to try something different. Overall a great experience! We had a 3-bedroom penthouse villa (building 11) that overlooked a beautiful pool. It was extremely clean, modern, and had lots of room to spread out. At HP you have access to additional pools and an 'owners' restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch; food was delicious. We ate dinners at Saffron (Banyon Tree), Brisas, La Laguna, Bassano, and Tauro, all excellent. The entire Mayakoba resort is very spread out, so if you don't like to walk or bike this may be something to consider. However, we loved all the space and enjoyed biking to/from beach. There are also frequent golf cart shuttles. 'Butler' service is part of the benefit staying at HP, and we were very lucky to have Alejandro and Daniel, who were very kind and responded to everything we needed. Daniel helped us schedule dinner reservations and airport transfers before we came, which I would highly recommend if you have a larger party. They can pretty much do anything you need. I wish I remembered all the kind servers thru out the entire Fairmont resort but do recall Marcos (pool cabana attendant) and Rodrigo (La Laguna), thank you for everything! My family is already asking to go back again next year!

The staff here at the restaurant are amazing. We love the servers, Briss and Angel and Avax are friendly and always have a smile and always accommodating. The food is beyond amazing. Shout out to chefs Dulce and Eduardo! The setting is magical. We have been coming for 12 years and will continue to. Doug and Wanda
