Flock Kathmandu

It is just a little too far off Thamel for me, up a cracked road, you can trip up at night. But if you are looking for somewhere quiet, it is a good place. NB. I booked a private room but they do not clean it daily unless you insist. Also it was in the fourth floor, no lift. I'm getting a bit old for this. The atrium/café design is really very imaginative and the café generally good.

Absolutely loved my stay at flock hostels! The vibe is perfect- chill common areas, friendly staff and really clean rooms. The beds are comfy and I appreciated the privacy curtains. Great Wi-Fi, central location, and the rooftop view is a nice bonus. Met amazing people here- would 100% return.

Convenient place price is not that bad, if you just want a place to sleep and do tours the next day, would recommend this place. We were traveling to Chitwan and Pokhara so we had to leave our bags here, but this was the place we stayed throughout for Kathmandu, the girl with glasses, fair skinned was really nice she told the other girl with glasses why we are being charged for 30 rupees daily just to leave our huge luggages so for our next few days, we were not charged anymore. Still I’d recommend this place. They can arrange drop off to the airport too. Staff are generally friendly and nice. Conditions of the room are average but not so bad.

There is FREQUENTLY no electricity, and they cannot fix the issue. You will also not be compensated for this UNACCEPTABLE issue. I was forced out of my room at 3:30am, had to pack and shower in the dark, just to check out hours nearly instead of sit in a hot dark room. Ridiculous. You couldn’t pay me to stay here another night.

As a hostel experience, not much more you can ask for. Comfortable, beds are very private(I stayed in a shared room and it was still very private), inexpensive, really good restaurant, and plenty to do nearby.

We visited yesterday (April 2024) this well reputable hostel and we discovered in our room a family of cockroaches. Also the curtains inside the room had blood stains. Unacceptable for a hostel that charges the double price of the nearby hostels to be so dirty. Don't trust them, go to nearby hostels. We came with a group, hosted a party there and it was very fun ! The staff is very polite and helpful, the food is great and the rooms are comfortable ! In the heart of Thamel, beautiful view from the rooftop, close to the Garden of dreams. We really enjoyed our stay there, good quality/price !

1 of the lovely hostels with full of lovely people and lovely co-travellers coming. They have 2 restaurants, 1 at the rooftop and other one big 3 floor restaurant. Both of them also offers bar. The beds were crazy big in size and comfortable, with clean sharable toilets. The rooftop also has hammock, Just come here in night full and watch the sky full of stars, One of the best experience you will have ( definitely i not able to watch it more than 5 minutes because of cold, Lol! ) but probably the best thing in summer. Overall one of the best hostel you can find in kathmandu.

Stayed here during my Nepal trip on this late October till November. The staff were very friendly and always smilling. They have the live music too in the evening, enjoyed it one time there. Tried my very first Dhal Bhat and it was great. Will be my first and only place to stay if I ever come back to Nepal for another trekking experience✨🤘🏿

Great hostel, stayed here for two weeks. There are plenty of bathroom and shower facilities, they are cleaned regularly, and I enjoyed the possibility of using the curtains to create my own little “room” in my bed. The in-house café / restaurant / bar is especially worth mentioning: Great vibe and food, and nice staff. 🙏
