The Ship Inn

Very cute place in the town I was born. Went for a visit after many decades of not seeing the town. Staff very lovely. The room had a low ceiling that my husband had to watch not to hit. Bed was comfortable but what made for a not pleasant sleep was that it had no air conditioning! The fan that was provided was not strong at all. It was so hot, didn’t have a good nights sleep 😟

There was not enough milk for our beverages,no bisciuts,bathroom had hairs in bath and shower, Disappointed with breakfast,

Excellent room Great food

The property was lovely, rooms were very hot as the weather was extremely hot but all rooms had fans so it was fine. Definitely stay again. Lovely staff and very friendly. Food was excellent.

Our stay at the Ship Inn was lovely - the rooms are perfect, the bed super comfy and ear plugs are provided for any noise from the pub downstairs (which we did not find a problem at all). Breakfast is continental but very lovely and we had a really nice stay. Also ate at the pub and would definitely recommend - all staff lovely and food really really good (and nice cocktails too at a good price!)

Lovely stay in The Petticrow room at the Ship. Great location opposite the clock tower. Room very nicely presented with winged armchairs facing out from the bay window. The Ship has a great restaurant where we enjoyed moules frites and beer battered fish, plus bar snacks on other nights. The breakfast was a buffet type continental, with yoghurt, fruit, grapefruit, toast, croissants and orange juice and cereals at tables laid in the restaurant. The Ship is in good upkeep and has a selection of good beers and cocktails. The staff are friendly and welcoming and we’ll return to stay again.
