The staff are really helpful and friendly

The bed was very low to the floor we struggled to get of the bed. The room was cold the heating came on for a little while on our first night and on the second day never came on at all, and on both days there was no heating in the morning in the bedroom where you would expect the heating on when you get up given that it was January it was very cold. We would not recommend

My only gripe is that the bed was very low, and I struggled with that as I have had both my knees replaced in the last 12 months. Apart from that, it was an excellent place to stay.

Run as a tight ship!

Comfortable bed and spacious room. Noisy at night but not surprising as the rooms are above the bar and restaurant. Parking facilities were good and staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast a little disappointing as there was no hot food available. None the less would stay again if in the area.

Really lovely pub, friendly staff very welcoming

The room satisfied our overnight needs. Unfortunately had we known about the steps leading down to the bedroom, then back up to the bathroom, we would have booked a different room. We had to have a light on so we could see when we got up in the night. Due to the age of the property, there were wooden beams which were low. The one over the window is really low, and my husband bent down to put his shoes on, only to stand up and bang his head, very hard. I thought he was going to pass out. I had to drive home as a precaution. Our friends room’s window was higher. If we returned, which is a possibility, we would request a different room. Ear plugs were supplied for the noise from the clock tower.

Nice room, good shower, convenient location in town near the river. Nice pub in decent condition. Continental breakfast only
