Hotel Ocean Breeze

Jeffer, Orlando, and all the staff treated us like family. The view of the ocean with swells rolling in barrels, while you can hear the surf is exquisite. The food was amazing, the drinks perfect. Laying in the negative edge pool, it merges with the ocean on the horizon. Pura Vida at Hotel Lookout!

The staff at the outlook hotel were extraordinary awesome they were the nicest decorated clean rooms I have stayed at in Costa Rica over the past 16 days the staff really cared about there individuals who stayed with them the food was outstanding I would give the outlook hotels a 20 out of 20 there so much higher than a 10.

the hotel is in a very scenic location , perched at the top of a hill and surrounded by forest, with the deep blue Pacific ocean beyon the trees. The breakfast was very good. It had a nice swimming pool but it was extremely loaded with chlorine, so much so that it burned your eyes inmediately if you attempted to open them. Other than that , very nice. bit expensive drinks that are cut down 50% during happy hour (5 to 6 pm) which brings them to more rational prices for the country cost of living. it has several bungalows duplex casitas down a couple of flights from the pool and reception are, overlooking the beautiful scenery. Good service from Orlando.

We moved to this hotel after being disappointed in another in town with a similar rank on TA This place took care of my family, my wife broke her foot and leg the first day in an ATV accident. The whole staff pitched in to make sure she was comfortable Could not ask for more Great rooms, breakfast, dinner and pool, plus great view

We spent two nights here and found it to be a Wonderful relaxing place with great food and service - staff was excellent with their service - John was most helpful in assisting us with what was available in the area and even upon our check-out provided a ride to the nearest bus stop (we traveled all over Panama and Costa Rica by bus). The Lookout is somewhat off the main highway but accessible by an easy walk uphill (do not travel with mush luggage) and overlooks the Pacific. Could have spent more time here relaxing, enjoying the pool and views - it is away from a lot of the attractions which makes it a quiet place to be. WIFI and breakfasts wer3e excellant and the resort had very reasonable rates.

Excellent to rest , the dinner was delicious and the breaksfast really good. I love the staff give you all the coffe you want

It said on the website that it had private beach(most important reason we choose this hotel) but that's not true also the standard room doesn't have tv or a/c so be careful when choosing the excellent rate on expedia because then you have to upgrade it cause if not you will only have a fan on 95 F temperatures.

Excellent and reasonably priced hotel for a one night stay in preparation for catching the boat from Sierpe to Drakes Bay. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the food was GREAT!

My wife and I stayed two nights at Hotel Lookout. The hotel sits at the top of a hill with a very steep, long and rock (not stones) road. We wondered where in the world this treacherous road was leading. We booked a deluxe room, but soon realized that the room didn't have air conditioning or a tv. The owner was able to give us an upgrade to a room with AC and a tv for an additional $25/night. The room was big, but the AC worked, but not as good as all the other hotels we stayed at. The toilet handle would continuously get stuck and we would have to jiggle the handle to get it to fill and stop running continuously. There were also several ants in the room and couldn't tell where they were coming from. The wi-fi signal was also very weak. We could only ever get 1 bar of signal strength in our room. The hotel gardens are beautiful which was our favorite part of the property. The pool was nice, but small. We had breakfast included with our stay. The breakfast on the first morning was good, but the staff was stingy with the coffee and we didn't get juice. The second morning was better with coffee refills and juice. Not sure what happened between the 2 mornings because the same staff member served us. Also, there's not much to do unless you drive about 2 miles to Ojochal or 8 miles to Uvita. As I stated earlier, the hotel was nice, but could have been better. I would neitherencourage nor discourage anyone from staying at Hotel Lookout.

The view from the hotel is excellent, you have a decent pool (maybe with too much chlorine). The deluxe room has no A/C or TV. The breakfast was really good and the hotel restaurant has good mexican food.
