The Market Hotel Groningen

Wir hatten einen tollen Kurzurlaub im schönen The Market Hotel in Groningen. Das Personal, die Zimmer, das Frühstück, die Lage….alles perfekt.

I’ve been to the hotel many times. The rooms, food and atmosphere are always great, but the best part is the staff. They are always friendly and happy to help with any query even translating Dutch instructions for me in English.

Central location and comfortable room and bed. Breakfast was very good; nice choices of cereals, breads, hot food. Dinner menu was not exciting; our burger was disappointing. We enjoyed our stay there and would happily return in the future.

Wir waren bereits mittags im Hotel und unser Zimmer war schon für uns bereit, so dass wir bereits um zwölf alles erledigt hatten und los ziehen konnten. Das Zimmer war großzügig gestaltet mit riesiger Dusche. Das Bad war offen, so dass man den Mitreisenden gut kennen sollte. Betten waren sehr bequem und das Zimmer gut klimatisiert. Das Frühstücksbüffet am nächsten Morgen war reichhaltig und immer gut gefüllt. Zum Beispiel gab es sehr viele Kaffeeautomaten welche gut verteilt waren, so dass es auch bei hohem Andrang nicht zu Wartezeiten kommt. Das einzige kritische wäre vielleicht, dass die Frühstückszeiten am Wochenende länger als bis 10.30 Uhr hätten sein können

Stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting friends. The reception staff were great, friendly & professional. The ladies in the cafe were fantastic, both after breakfast and in the afternoon whilst having drinks on the terrace. The hotel is centrally located for everything. The rooms were clean and modern. The beds are very comfy tho I was not a fan of the pillows. Too soft & too big. But you can’t please everyone, that’s just my opinion. I will be staying here again next year when I come back. I had a look around the Spa downstairs and will definitely book myself in there too. Thank You

Absolutely fabulous hotel with friendly, helpful and professional staff. The rooms were large and clean and very modern. Breakfast was fantastic with a large variety of food available I could not have had a better stay. Thank you Market Hotel for a wonderful time in Groningen

Location is absolutely in the center! Everything is acceable by foot. Hotel in beautiful, clean and spacious. We had basic room in 2nd floor. It was still really nice providing almost everything you could think of. Only fullsize mirror was missing. And the mirrors in the bathroom were hanged for tall people 😅 There was Pride weekend and lot of partymood in the evening. It did not bother us at all - room was really quiet. Breakfast was really good quality. Not too many things to choose from but everything was really delicious!! Staff was really friendly and nice! Thank you for our stay!

The property was extremely well kept with fantastic staff that helped at every need.

5 plus stars. The room was beautiful, spacious, well appointed with upgraded necessities, quiet, wonderful view, and lastly the breakfast bar was the highlight of the stay. Staff very professional and nice.
