We booked the so called presidential suite. The bathroom looks fine, but it is a disaster to take a shower. At night, the cover of the bed is insufficient for the cold. At night, there was a lot of noise in the neighbourhood. No reception available at night, in the morning staff starts at around 6.30 AM with a lot of noise. You are awake, no doubt! Breakfast starts at 8.30 AM. We had to wait until 9.30 AM for a coffee and a toast. No excuses! So we paied a fortune for one night and a very poor breakfast. While checking out, the cleaning lady claims we broke a cheap glass. They claimed 7 euro for this cheap Ikea-like glass. This after all the bad service and the noisy stay! Note they claim your credit card by arrival and the copy your card and CVC-code without asking. So they can take refunds. When you leave a stain in the room or God knows what else: you could maybe take a loan. You are warned!

We couldn't be any happier with our stay at Palazzo Bifora. The room was spotlessly clean, the hotel staff was gracious and helpful, excellent restaurants are located nearby, and the beauty of Mdina (especially at night) was stunning.

Delightfuly restored old town house at the heart of Mdina. Upgraded room as only couple staying. Lovely hand crafted breakfast and very helpful and well trained staff.

Low season, rooftop restaurant opened Thurs- Sun and pool closed. Had problems opening front door at night with keycard - there was no night porter.

The decor, style and location were great.

The two staff we met, though pleasant, were not well trained. Breakfast was solitary and fairly minimal. We booked and paid for a Suite with Balcony and were told no rooms had balconies! Our room was small and bathroom tiny! We were told the owner/manager would be there to speak with us before our departure but this did not happen.

The best thing about this stay was Priscila's service. She made the whole experience special. Priscila took care of every detail of our stay, especially in providing us with information and options for places to stay in Mdina. The rooms have a touch of luxury and comfort that surprised us. We will be back, because we miss it! Thank you very much for all your support.

We had a wonderful two-night stay at Palazzo Bifora right after our wedding day, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. From the moment we arrived, Priscila greeted us warmly and was always happy to assist with anything we needed. She surprised us with a complimentary room upgrade, and we stayed in the Murina room, which was spotless, beautifully maintained, and incredibly comfortable. The heating worked flawlessly, including the bathroom tiles which had underfloor heating! The entire experience was excellent, with the staff going above and beyond to make our stay special. Highly recommended!

Something to keep in mind if you’re an older couple: whilst the hotel isn’t in the middle of nowhere, it is in an area where cars cannot enter, even taxis, so you’ll have a short 2 minute walk with your luggage in order to make it to the hotel from the closest drop off point.
