JOIVY Haymarket

Very close to transportation and food stores.

We were in room 12 and we could not get hot water in the bathroom sink. The hot water was good in the shower and kitchen.

Good location, and price for value was good. I liked the no front desk check in, very convenient. The main entrance has a free coffee and tea machine which was great! Very cozy and well equipped rooms.

The accomodation is well placed to visit Edinburgh. The room looked nice at first, but....

Many things were not functional : TV and lamps. The worst part was the last night. No hot water to the shower, and even worse: an alarm was triggering itself right next to the door of our room. Technocal issues happend, we get that, but this leads to the WORST thing about this accomodation: the JOIVY assistance. They were USELESS. And even misleading. I explain why below. This accomodation is handled by an external company called Joivy, and assistance is therefore externalized. So if you have an actual issue like we did, they cannot help you at all. Here is what happened: - 9pm, we get back to our room, and the alarm keeps triggering itself (high pitch and continuous sound) - this came from a fire alarm panel in front of our room - we call the assistance, the person gives us some guidance over the panel, but it does not work - we call again, the same person tells us maintenance has been called - 1h later, still the same guy, now maintenance may not come - 1h further, another person picks up the phone. It was not possible to get any maintenance team to come on a saturday night (-> I assume the first guy was lying, then). The lady admits that there is nothing she can do (shout out for her honesty, she will be the only one in the team!). They can't even give us another room, even though they can grant access remotely - the same lady, however, propose a partial refund for the inconvenience (but nothing about how to get it... maybe not so honest in the end...) We ended up not sleeping at all, and not able to take a shower (since there was not hot water). 2 days later, we call again to discuss about the partial refund. The person from the assistance informs us that she will transmit to the relevant team. Nothing happened, of course. Your assistance team needs to be more honest, but I assume Joivy has trained them to just mislead unhappy guests. If you can spend your money on another accomodation, just do it.

Lugnt och trevligt. Centralt läge. Nära till kommunikationer.

De ligging! Net buiten het drukke centrum maar pal tegenover een trein en tramstation( heb je geen geluidsoverlast van). Alles is heel goed met de tram en bus te doen.

Eigenlijk niks. Alleen maandagochtend toen we wilde douchen was er geen warm water. Kan gebeuren.
