Anderson Inn

5 Stars all around... The room was perfect: clean & well kept, large space with extra amenities; games, binoculars for watching the wildlife in the bay, in room coffee etc. Absolutely a step up from your typical chains. Service was great: Connor was efficiently quick, but took time to provide extra info where we needed it. Super polite and conscientious... we walked away thinking the Anderson was family owned because of the care he took with checking us in. Location: Not a better spot on the bay, you're right in the middle of all the shops, restaurants, and marine life along the bay; and a short walk from any of the coffee houses or shops as you move inland. Restaurant: "The Galley", only takes reservations from the inn, everyone else is first come first serve... was excellent. Entrees are brought in fresh daily, service perfect... This is a time where I am very pleased with spending a little extra on the room, the experience received more than made up for it and we look forward to returning!

Location and accommodation

It is hard to describe this visit as this hotel is as much an experience of kindness as it is a series of good stuff. The good stuff includes two fireplaces (one in room and one on the patio), in room frig and micro, fantastic view of the rock, and towels shaped into animals. The kindness starts when you check in to a very warm welcome. Then each staff member you meet has a warm greeting. This is a ten star out of five.

Wonderful, spacious room with delightful touches. Very welcoming. Great location and their restaurant is excellent. Great service, comfortable bed, located right on the waterfront. Can't imagine a better place to stay in Morro Bay

The room was exceptionally clean, well equipped with after thoughts such as a Nespresso machine, tea, ear plugs (didn’t need them), and well decorated. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was spotless, and the view - nothing short of perfect.

Parking can be an issue, however, we made it work and there is ample parking within feet of the hotel.

Anderson Inn was perfect. The room was of high quality.... the decor, the cleanliness, and comfort. Right down to the soft towels and quality toilet paper. The view was spectacular. While we were still there, we booked our next trip.

Love this property. The room is pretty soundproof, can’t hear the sea lions with the door closed. Awesome robe

Absolutely breathtaking view of our room over the bay staring at the giant rock. The room is absolutely beautiful with everything you would need and right next-door is a terrific seafood. restaurant.

We've been going to the Anderson Inn every year for the last weekend in September for at least the last five years. The staff has always been great -couldn't be more helpful. Check-in and check-out is always easy, we're always recognized and made to feel welcome. The rooms are spotless, inviting and a genuine pleasure to spend time in, looking out on Morro Bay and Morro Rock. My only suggestion is that the mattress in our room is okay, but probably due for replacement. Otherwise an absolutely perfect stay. And we plan to go back again next year, if not sooner.
