It was a 2 star inn, very clean and comfortable, housekeeping every day including thanksgiving, the most comfortable bed I've ever stayed on outside my own home. Dash the owner was very bubbly and friendly, Keith was on security from 7pm to 7am always on hand to help when I was sick made sure I got some cough sweets until the pharmacies opened. Some excellent churches in the area, I met some very Christian people who were happy to welcome me for prayer and worship the Lord.

This is a location where you would really need your own car. There is free, secure parking at the location. Nothing is within walking distance of anything else. Baton Rouge is not that easy to get around, public transport doesn't really go near tourist spots so you're relying on uber or swift which were very expensive during this period because of the game and then thanksgiving. If you're a nervous traveller you might not want to visit Baton Rouge alone, for me, I like meeting real people in their real environment with no bells and whistles so it was an education and a blessing.
