Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Milwaukee Brookfield

Hotel was updated, nice, clean, comfortable. Lots of noise from hall at night on ground floor room. Checkin was delayed, so we couldnt get in til 430pm which was an issue. Breakfast buffet was standard. Food seemed warm or not cooked, hashbrowns, sausages, eggs. Most everything was out, even milk, so had to ask staff to replenish.

We were in Brookfield WI for our son's college graduation from the University of Wisconsin White Water 5/16-5/18/25. The bed was very comfortable, the food was great and Wendy was very pleasant! The room had all the amenities, microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker.

The stay was great with the exception of one thing. Our air conditioner didn't get cold until it was cold outside. Maintenance tried to fix the problem by changing the thermostat's batteries, but didn't. Luckily, the cool weather solved the problem.

It was a great stay; clean, comfortable; breakfast was great. The only issue related to the elevator. Only one was working and it was very slow; there was long wait at times and the hotel wasn't really busy.

Everything was fine until the 2nd night. The people in the room next to us had the television on so loud we could not sleep. At midnight I called the front desk and the manager told the people to turn it down. Less than ten minutes later I called again because the television noise was too loud again. The manager went back to their room again and told the people to turn the television off. I called the front desk again because the noise started up almost immediately. The manager said he told the people to turn the TV off. He went to the room, we heard a very loud banging on the door next to us and the noise finally stopped for the night. I only wish that after being warned twice by the night manager to turn down the television noise he would have told them on the third time to leave the hotel. It was after 1am before we got to sleep and we had to be up early. When we woke up none of the lights in the room worked.

Location was great and the room was very clean.

Beds are just ok.

So, I checked into my room, on the 4th floor. It looked great. However, when I rolled back the sheets, I found a black bug. I took a pic and brought it down to the manager, hoping I could get a different room. She listened to me, looked at the pic then went on about how clean their hotel was, the safeguards in place, the housekeeping, and that THEY HAVE NEVER HAD BUGS. As much as I believed her, There was a bug. She insisted it was an outside bug, carried in some how up to the 4th floor. The only apology was after some time, when I told her how I was startled to see that bug. She apologized that it frightened me. There was no room available. The only thing she could do was see if she had extra sheets (which she did), then told me I would have have to change them, and please leave the other ones outside my door. The experience was unsettling for me. Not as much as the bug, but the customer experience.
