Lake Front Hotel

Property was in an excellent location for the area and the hotel staff working when I checked in was aces. It was overall a pleasant experience.

Checking in was fast and easy. Parking was very convenient. Walkable to all the attractions. Very clean.

We had a wonderful stay at the Lake Front Hotel. The facility was very clean both inside and out. The restaurant in the premises had a nice menu- we had apps and breakfast the next morning. The serving staff was very friendly and the food was good. Short walk into the town from the hotel!

Everything was in new condition and looked clean. We had a water view from our window. The bathroom and shower water pressure were excellent. The young lady (Andrea?) at the front desk helped me out with a dryer, the one in the room was not working well.

We were in room 29, which was in the corner. Upper floor staircase and storage door was our view. I asked if we could change to a room with a view, there was a $109.00 upcharge. There were Adirondack chairs by the dock, and the beautiful view made up for it.

This hotel was nothing like it was built up to be. The rooms (and we had the best room which faced the lake) were musty and small. Seating was almost impossible to sit on…low chairs with no arms that looked like they came from a low budget furniture store. Bathroom was minuscule with nothing but a pedestal sink and teeny space for the toilet. There was no coffee maker, the blow drier did not work. The air conditioner was directly above the bed so it blew down on people as they slept. The parking lot and parking was a joke. We got a tight spot that was the only one left. Since both of us have mobility challenges, we were afraid to leave and return to find no parking later in the evening. We paid well over $300 a night and had planned to stay 2 nights. After seeing the reality of this place, we ate the 2nd night and booked ourselves into the Otesaga which is where we should have booked from the beginning. I really don’t know who would enjoy a stay there….it is down the block from the Baseball Hall of Fame and there is outside seating at the restaurant attached to the motel and near the marina, but it that was small perk to an otherwise regrettable stay. Their very strict no cancellation policy makes sense: you book there and you are stuck…once you book, you are committed. We always read reviews before booking, but for some odd reason, we booked this without reading the reviews that warned us of the pitfalls of this place. Be warned: it is not what the website promises and it is woefully overpriced.

They have a super friendly staff and a great location but the cleanliness of the room is what you expect more from a $100/night motel room not one that costs $400/night.
