Not a lot.

Even though the staff were smiley and friendly, they were fighting a losing battle. Lack of staff, very dated menu and decor. Rooms are very tired. Needs a total refurb. Sorry, only telling the truth. 😬

Lovely hotel, good location, very good food.

Only negative was a late breakfast start of 9am.

Breakfast was fantastic, staff very accommodating, enjoyed a tasty evening meal as well.

Very friendly,family friendly, close to national trust,and maiden castle!

Beds so comfortable, lovely clean white bedding and towels, polite helpful staff , restaurant area very nice. Bedroom and en-suite size good The soup was delicious, pea and leek and definitely needed a mention.

Choice on evening meal menu lacking as three options not available and all gluten free options which was needed so choice a little poor. Breakfast menu wasn’t good for gf choices and no indication on menu re gf options at all. The staff and chef were accommodating though and provided something that was able to have. Accommodation could have been a little bit cleaner for example behind doors quite fluffy, but I’m being picky perhaps and in general it’s clean. Noisy customers coming in late at night woke us, nothing major but chatting on corridors saying good night… perhaps a sign up asking for a little consideration might help.
