Extremely busy noisy road. Shower didn’t work properly so couldn’t use and bath had no plug so couldn’t be used either.

Dinner was excellent. Room was good. Owner very friendly and helpful. Good location on busy A35

Breakfast not served till 9am. Had to suffer a Greg's (just along the road)

Good location for touring Dorset coast.

I always check previous reviews before booking and unfortunately the property did not live up to expectations. Downstairs in the bar, many chairs had worn or ripped cloth. Only ate in restaurant on first night, as our first 3 choices of food were unavailable. The stairway had a musty smell. The fire door alongside our bedroom had no soft closure and every person passing through banged it loudly to the extent it woke us up. The toilet seat is precariously loose! Advertised toiletries and daily housekeeping- No. We were there for 3 nights - damp towels and nowhere to air, toiletries was one multi use bottle of hand wash at the sink, tea tray not topped up and badly stocked on arrival, bins not emptied. When I complained, it was stated that they don’t do housekeeping unless requested. Bottom line is, we would have done better in a Travelodge 🙄

Large, en suite well furnished room with very comfortable bed. Very friendly staff who made our family guests for dinner welcome too.

Sadly the only down side was the road noise which they have tried to mitigate with effective double glazing.

Evening Bar staff (Meg) was a credit to the hotel.
