Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Salmon Arm

This hotel is one of the newer ones in Salmon Arm and the facilities reflect that. They are very nice, modern, and also very clean. The location is great too!

The service at this hotel was terrible! The minute my sister and I arrived we had only made two steps into the lobby and the clerk greeted us with, "Hello, I need your credit card." She didn't even wait for us to get to the desk or ask how we were or ask if we had a booking. Rude. I booked the hotel last minute through Booking.com, I arrived for check-in about 5 hours after booking the room. I've done 2 hour windows before and had no issue with other hotels. This time, the clerk hadn't seen my booking yet, she also didn't listen when I tried to show her my reservation. No, it was when she couldn't find me in her system that she finally asked, "Did you use a third party site?" I replied, "Yes, Booking.com, I can show you the reservation." "No, that's okay, but now I need to manually enter your reservation from their system into ours, it will be a few minutes." We finally get checked in. This hotel only does room cleaning once every two days. We booked two nights. The first morning, housekeeping knocks on our door early, my sister didn't know about the room cleaning thing, so she thought it was normal. After the following events, I realized they came before the checkout time (11am) to see about cleaning our room. Because they thought we were checking out. Also about every 2 days, they don't top up your coffee pods and there's only enough coffee pods for one day for two people. When my sister and I are out and about, I get a call from Reception saying that they checked us out of the room but found our stuff was still there. I explain the situation with the clerk and that we had booked two nights. They say, ok and reassure me that they hadn't moved our stuff. So we come back to our room later in the day and find our hotel room door is not closed properly because of them.

Breakfast was really good. Staff were very friendly and over all a very clean place to stay.

Stated it was a heated pool but it was beyond cold you couldn’t even enjoy it.
