Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Salmon Arm

The location was perfect. We walked to the harbour in the evening and it was very scenic especially the sunset was stunning! Would recommend this to visitors to Salmon Arm. The staff were friendly and our room was very comfortable.

If I could clicked 0 stars that would have been my choice. We booked online in February, at a great rate, we ended up cancelling our other reservations booked in Salmon Arm due to getting this confirmation email to secure our hotel room. In MAY… yes MAY- they emailed us saying they cancelled our previous rate, that the rate we booked was no longer available, and now it’s more than doubled. I would have understood this situation better, if they would have cancelled 24 hours after our online reservation… but THREE months later. What a joke! Absolutely ridiculous. The email stated not to call the hotel directly, so I emailed a few questions asking for a phone call- heard nothing back. I decided to call the front desk- I had nothing to lose- they said they weren’t able to help, I asked if I could leave my number for a manager to call me…. Still no return phone call. I don’t recommend anyone book a room here if you value customer service, honesty and a place that not only values their customers, but follows up with concerns. Super shady! ZERO stars guaranteed.

Booked this hotel February 19th for a 2 night stay in August 2026. I have a confirmation email with the booking details confirming the price of $320 for the stay. However, on May 2nd I received an email indicating they will no longer be honoring that rate and are changing the rate of my booking to $1056 for the 2 night stay, with the option to cancel if I don't agree. Not only is that breaking a contract that was agreed upon ( I booked directly with the hotel on their website) but extremely unprofessional. It is now very difficult to find another hotel in the area that can accommodate the 2 night stay and rates are now much higher at other places as well, that is why I booked early and and booked this hotel because of the great rate. The manager that sent the email asked me not to call the hotel regarding this matter but to email which I have with no response so then decided to call and will not return phone calls. This all seems very shady and unprofessional. I will be reporting this issue above this hotel manager. But be aware!!! Had I not see the managers email ( went to junk mail ) this would have been an even more unpleasant surprise charge when I arrived to check in. ( which at that time would be past the cancellation window) This is a very drastic price change from my original rate !! ( which they didn't even indicate what the rate change was in the email, I had to call and ask the front desk person) And not to have the decency to even respond to an email or a phone call as a manager has me questioning how this place is run. Make sure to watch charges on your credit cards for fraudulent charges and rate changes without your knowledge. It would have been a lot more understandable if they had contacted me within 24hrs of the booking to say they forgot to up the rates for summer but 3 months later is not acceptable !!

Clean and comfortable within walking distance to down town

The accessibility style room we had was very roomy and comfortable. It met our needs very well. The breakfast included was very good. Front desk staff were very helpful and accommodated our needs.

The swimming pool was very cold. The housekeeping was rather disappointing. Some things were not done or done poorly.

The staff was very friendly and helpful to recommend local eateries. Breakfast was the same everyday but had everything one could ask for.
